I'm glad you enjoyed it! Of course all I do is hold the camera and try not to go too crazy with too much of moving it around. I just got finished with uploading a total of 14 videos from the Friday night performance. All of them are excellent but the musicians in the symphony sound like they do it for a living. There are 4 videos for them including a fantastic Phantom of the Opera medley!

I will be posting a piece in the next day or two by the Campo Verde Symphonic Strings that I recorded last night that will knock your socks off! I might be exaggerating a little bit because it will be a John Williams piece for which they did a nice job but it's hard to top what they did on this piece and on the Night on Bald Mountain!

There was no link in your third comment so I removed it. I also removed your first comment because it was a band video. I have some band videos but I concentrate on orchestras here. The links in this comment are to some wonderful performances by the Japanese kids. The difference in practice time is obvious. But that deficit is largely made up by the time you are watching the symphonies and symphonic strings that I've posted here. A case in point would be Leroy Anderson's Christmas Festival performed by the Highland High Symphonic Strings in December of 2022. They are fantastic! There is sheet music that is intended for school use and sheet music intended for professionals. They use the professional sheet music. And they do indeed sound like they do it for a living!

I see that I have videos of the Symphonic Strings playing your uplifting piece, With Gratitude, two years ago in two different venues. They would have also played it at the Midwest Clinic. Also, I went back and looked at the program and there is your name. I don't know how I missed it but I got it corrected.

I was kind of mad at myself. It's a tiny little button and I must not have pushed it down all the way. I hope that's what it was anyway instead of a mechanical malfunction that might occur again. A violinist dropped her bow at around the 3 minute and 16 second point. Now it's just a little blip in the video that's hard to notice. Do you know anyone who was able to record the March of the Nutcracker? They could transfer it to a flash drive and give it to Mrs. Payne. I'm guessing it was omitted because this is mostly a freshman orchestra. Highland has 3 orchestras above this group. But I don't know for sure.

Thank you. I changed it. Unfortunately the battery on my Canon camera ran out of juice right after this and I had to switch to my cell phone for the Finale. I would also recommend my videos from 3 and 4 years ago of the performances of the Finale by the Highland High Symphonic Strings. I prefer the fuller sound that results from the greater number of musicians.
