@@robfut9954my best guess is that his mental state isn’t ideal. haven’t seen him in person so i can’t say for certain but based off what i’ve heard about his character he might be struggling with mental illness . i could be completely wrong though idk
@@MoreTrenMoreMen69 could be, I’ve seen him in person and he seemed pretty serious. Like a craftsman working at his craft. He isn’t one of those silly performers who joke around a lot. But he didn’t seem to hate performing, either. One thing is clear though, he isn’t driven by money otherwise he would have been making albums and touring for years. So maybe he’s just happy doing whatever it is he does now. But I would like to see him perform at least once more
@@robfut9954 Yeah i’ve only seen video performances but in the early ones (90s and early 2000s) he seemed more alive and silly. but now i agree, he seems very serious, and he dislikes people recording him. also i think the matter of the songs is indicative of being someone who has quite the mind (whether bad or good, idk). he has very imaginative lyrics (which i adore don’t get me wrong). Also the way I’ve heard people describe his reaction to Anne Frank’s journal was interesting too. Idk my best guess is he suffers from sort of schizophrenic-like disorder or some type of psychotic disorder, because it seems like there was a transition when Jeff got famous, and maybe that stress/pressure triggered something in him. I’m a second year psych student so I’m not a professional at this but I know a little bit about what to look for. idk, just what my brain recognizes. But most likely you’re right. he just felt he had reached what he wanted with neutral milk hotel, and moved on.z
