Aeolian Half Duo-Art Player piano c.1928 Ampico 70583 Bitter Sweet selection. Played Lewis J.Fuiks
To play this Ampico roll on a Duo-Art all you have to do is turn the Duo-Art holes off with a switch. On this Half Duo-Art instrument, when turned off, the D/A holes on the tracker bar are simply blanked off meaning the Ampico intensity instructions are not used at all but at least the hand-played roll can be listened to as an 88-note roll.
This is one of the last rolls recorded before the 96 years old player piano has a full restoration again.

      Yes it needs tuning once a month but perhaps was missed, temperature changes in the summer make a big difference, it is only a wooden frame so humidity also affects things as well.
