From his humble beginnings as acrobat and dancer, he rose to prominence as a virtuoso saxophonist, notably as a baritone saxophonist for Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s iconic Egypt 80 band. With a career spanning decades, Showboy’s contributions to the genre are profound and enduring.
Showboy’s career boasts a multitude of accomplishments including performing at prestigious venues and arenas across the world, such as the Apollo Theater and Madison Square Garden. His new project, “Rise Africa (EP)” in stores soon.
