Thanks to this video I remembered that I was dealing with the front wheel and could just turn the knuckle to get the bolt loose 😅
For n line too?
yes its gonna be the same
@OneTrickTech thank you.
I wish I never bought this for my daughter, ever since day one , problem after problem , had to replace pretty much everything on it , last part I did is turbocharger, now ever since a coolant smell comes inside cabin when heat is on , looks like turbocharger feed lines are leaking , my mistake is that I should of just replaced those to when I had the new turbo , any idea if this can be done without taking turbo out
This is the same problem my 2013 Cruze LS has, 145k it's been leaking for a while but it seems like it's going to give out soon. The part attached to the engine is a Thermostat housing or a water housing? Personally I would leave it alone but I know it's eventually gonna fall apart. And my son hate how my car stinks with the heat on lol
to follow you, but is not better to replace the car ??? First of all you should mention, only 10% of the cars has common radiator .
If the brake pads looked the same on both sides, one side not turning as freely as the other could also be due to a parking brake that needs an adjustment or a wheel bearing starting to go. Thanks for the caliper diagnosis share.
Yes, you're right a seized parking brake assembly or cable can cause the wheel to be stuck. I've never really seen a wheel bearing causing the wheel not to turn, if its loose or noisy then yes definitely replace it. Also one more thing to check if you're wheel is not spinning freely is the brake hose.
what happens if you don't have a scanner you can't reset the fault ?
You will most likely always here clunking with a bad inner tie rod....
👍👍👍
Very helpful video for troubleshooting and maintaining suspension systems mate ! Thank you I like the visuals to understand the many component of a suspension system. Thank you and keep it up !
Gates last me 1 year, AC DELCO 1 year 3 months. I guess you were right OEM is my next. 😂
I installed the new discs and pads. After 100 km front pads sticked the disc. Why does it happen? The mechanic told that the inner and outer pads are installed on wrong sides. Do pads sign on it indicating its position such as inner/ outer?
So much of working on ford escapes is easier if you take off that cowl, sadly
If I’m goin to just realign the belt do I need to lock the fly wheel before?
Good job proffecional.
Unfortunately we will have to make the engine for your channel, but I will leave it for 2000 thousand dollars
In Brazil we are, please do not reveal the plan that our ancestors left for us
I noticed that your Cruze makes the same soft whistling sound I hear on a lot of other Cruze repair and maintenance videos. Any idea what it is? My 2018 does this and I can't figure it out.
Tranny Drain and fill is not a scam. A flush is questionable however.
how so?
Great Thank you
😁 TY
Great board!
Great job explaining
Great job explaining, no joke!
There are only two choices for this vehicle. 1. you can buy an OEM catalytic converter which is going to cost you an arm and a leg and you'll be good for a couple of years, or you can buy an aftermarket, but you will have to replace it every year for inspection... Because They only last a couple of months before the p0420 code comes back. Or even better just sell the damn car and never buy a Chevy again
Any Suggestion: my rear brakes work fine and I am finding fluid towards the inner vehicle on the emergency brake spring and caliper. rear passenger side. Brake looks fine, no leak from banjo bolt or brake hose. can’t figure it out. After driving in town for 30 minutes didn’t see any leaks. Followed brake lines back up to the Master Cylinder checked ok. All the calipers look dusty but not wet except the pass rear. Should I just replace the caliper?
❤b
👍👍👍
Should you change both sides?
Could this be the reason why my 14 sentra, even after using CRC mAF cleaner and performing better, it is still experiencing rapid RPM movement at slow and constant speeds?
Shut up meg!!
I noticed you didn’t use the cam alignment bar. That definitely saves time as long as you’re just replacing belt. Was that a manual transmission?
Can you just run a turbocharger?
Empingao
Excellent review on fasteners! What application is the Mortorq used? I’ve never seen that one before
Great video
Anti seize on brakes is not recommended. It will collect dust and turn into a sticky mess. Preventing proper functions
thank you for your video sir..now i know why theres a sound when i change it..tnx tnx
Anyone here have issues with a loose caliper piston? I’ve got a car from 1975 I’m doing brakes on and the calipers got replaced with new ones about a year ago. Not by me so I don’t know the history of the previous work. Brake fluid is low and the inside wall of the tire/wheel was soaked. Hydraulic pressure almost entirely went out and I started taking things apart. As soon as I took the caliper off the rotor the pistons began freely moving out of their housing under nothing but gravitational force. Which is not normal. The seals are new and not cracked at all, but when the caliper piston moved out of the housing brake fluid started leaking from the piston. My diagnosis so far is that the piston seals are bad and have caused my loss of hydraulic pressure. Nothing else is out of the ordinary. I’m commenting with this question to ask if anybody that has worked on a 50 year old cars brakes has experienced this? Could the pistons and seals be the wrong size for the caliper housing? Or could it be just a bad seat of that seal? Also curious to know if drastically cold temperatures could effect the pressure that is not being maintained in that caliper?
Dealerships will try to sell you sunshine in the middle of summer.
Careful with that piston boot😮
Should you jack up the engine before taking off the mount?
Words from a transmission shop. Trans service should be done every 30K miles if u want longevity out of it
You said kilometers so you never have to change yout fluid 😂😂😂😂😂😂 canukinan 😂😂😂😂
you're not wrong 🤣
Usually every 40 to 60 thousand miles but like you said if you have a Nissan cvt I’d say like every 30
Thank you ❤🇨🇦
Thank you ❤🇨🇦
It is called preventative maintenance..... Piece of Mind.... you are right, new tires may not show wear for a few thousand miles if the camber is off for example, but during the inspection you may find other safety items, otherwise not caught by a general visit, or some tire jocky justy installing new tires. And yes you may just be able to adjust the front toe for example on a 4 wheel alignment, let me ask... why would you still need to look at the rears?
It’s also an indication of about 100other things as well
I have have one bought it with 65,000 miles back in September 2024. Now it it has 73,000 miles. First Check engine light was like at 67,000 miles . Suddenly after one fuel up it didn’t want to crank. After some research found a selenoid/ valve. That I had to replace no big deal. Less 500 miles later think it was For a code think p0011 something about the timing been advance on bank one. The check engine light would only turn on when the car was fully warmed up when cold it ran perfect. Rough idled when it was hot and at a full stop at times almost as if it wanted to turn off sometimes. Only when hot! So after some research and a video I found on TH-cam of a guy. Who had a low mileage car like this. Who he had change every sensor on it. Timing belt and everything. The vehicle still had the same issue. After he ran diagnostics, he found out that when the car ran at its normal operating temperature he would end up having different timing on the cams and that’s caused low oil pressure at idle which made the car ran rough. So he had and idea about removing a drain valve the helps drain the oil from the oil filter. His theory was that what was happening was that for some reason that drain plug is supposed to be closed when the car is operating so he discovered some how that the drain was kept staying open causing the car to make a vacuum when the valve stayed open causing a low oil pressure at idle. When he would accelerate the vehicle pressure went back up. So he removed the spring that kept the drain valve open so that it would stay shot closed all the time. This did not hurt the vehicle in and sort of way and it actually fixed his low oil pressure and his vehicle was fixed. So i did that to my car. And wallah. My car does not rough idle like it once did and never again did it want to die on me. So it fixed have of my problem. The check engine is still on! My next move it’s going to be to move my vvti selenoids from bank 1 to bank 2. And the other way around to see if it’s one of those. Since they messed with the timing. This still pending. Now I have this same coolant leak like in this video 😅! Bought this car for the low miles, it’s very clean, blows cold ac performs well. Good on gas. But the amount of little problems here and there adds up. Definitely in going to sell it before 90,000 miles. When the big maintenance repairs come. Timing belt , water pump, etc. better to spend a couple thousand more get a decent low mileage Honda civic and just spend on regular maintenance. Maybe and ac compressor at higher mileage. Not all this cheap made Chevrolet that maintenance takes all your money away here and there.
Please also check the brake hoses to see if they’ve collapsed. Saved me from unnecessarily buying new calipers
