arr. Mark Taylor - Hal Leonard Corporation An ultra-funky and ultra-cool chart from the 70's group Average White Band. The classic "horn band" style showcases hot licks and a tight rhythmic groove.
Misty arr. Terry White

Erroll Garner/arr. Terry White - Alfred Publishing Belwin Division Perhaps one of the most familiar jazz standards of all time, this easy but effective chart has a laid-back swing feel. The tempo is 90 bpm with written solos for alto 1 and trumpet 1, and the lead trumpet range goes up to written E-flat top space. It's also playable with optional reduced or expanded instrumentations. A much cleaner arrangement than some I've heard....
This is a one of my favorite songs
One of my all time favourites
Sax solo 2:23
We’re performing this soon and I have that saucy trumpet solo. Wish me luck everyone. Update: it went great. People told me it was the highlight of the show.
Good luck! Hope it goes well (or went well when you did it)
Good luck, I love that trumpet solo :)
Nice that’s great!
I just played this song for MPA

You better be joking 💀
I checked the full score and didn’t find the beeps instrumentation
I think you missed them. They're on the drummer part.
I played this 8th grade at jazz night! I love this song! The only difference is that the jazz band did it a little slow than the recording.
me too lol
Same but we are doing it at about half note equals 170 and im the only trumpet player so its hard as an 8th grader. Still a great piece though.
@@Willybtheg2 i wish I'd be the only one as a ninth gr I sound so good 👌
@@maniasoker yeah, its just fast to solo over. Lot of fun tho.
@@Willybtheg2 It's quite repetitive and sadly I didn't get a solo for this one. The written solo is fun but I have to agree it's kinda fast lol

Is that Phil Woods on the alto solo?

Respect, saved me a ton of time.
Mark Taylor was my stage band director at Lake Dallas high school in the 1970s. TRUE STORY: I remember him coming out to my mother's car (a 1973 Chevy Vega) to talk to me for some reason. I was probably about 14 years old. The original version of this was playing on AM radio & he heard it for the first time & I remember how astonished he looked. He said something like "we gotta play this" or "we need this one." A short while later, he brought the "chart" in to the band hall & we played his brand-new arrangement of it. I'm guessing for the first time ever.
Cool story but damn ur old 😭

hi
Slow pieces are hard
This song is great
Thanks for this. My school is doing this song for our jazz band and I just couldn't quite figure out the rhythms. This really helped a lot.
Njvader same
So am I
Why is it not the full version :(
those beeps are ridiculous ...
They keep someone from using it in some form for an unauthorized recording. Yeah, irritating for sure.
probably so you can't copy it and use it live as a backup
get a dude to press a button onstage
why are those beeps there
To prevent the music from being stolen. Buy the original to remove beeps.
Hayden Niehus but the sheet music isn’t in the audio, let alone the video Chances are if you are here you have the music just you’re not the one who bought it

@@TH-camPizzer the audio is still copyrighted lol
