Thanks for the video. I've been here for 2 months, I haven't made any friends yet, it does get lonely . I will definitely put myself out there, join Facebook groups and go to church however I want to sort out my finances first.

I first watched this video before moving to Korea, and I’m rewatching it again now after 7 months of working in Korea. I went back home to SA for a while, and since then, the rose colored glasses I had over Korea are gone. When I stepped foot in South Africa, I suddenly realized all of the things I found frustrating about Korea. I’ve been back in Korea for 2 weeks, and I’m really not happy here. My original plan was to stay 2-3 years, but I don’t see that happening anymore.

My experience its easy to make friends but its harder to keep them, I used to think I was the problem because I was told I'm over bearing and when I would step back they would complain and say I don't put in effort sooooo.......I realized that people like taking rather then giving that dynamic is draining and tiring. IT'S FINE THOUGH I CAN COUNT ALL MY GENIUNE FRIENDS IN ONE HAND.

Life away from home is already hard enough, so you want to surround yourself with people that add value to your time and sanity.. and with that said, life abroad is just another chapter in your life. I also think your new gadgets are cool. Okay. Let's get to my actual comment 😅 So, one of the things that helped me form a network here is finding and encorporating myself into communities that represented my life back home. Back home, I made most of my networks from church and gym, so those became communities that I sought out when I got here. I also had the privilege of joining the Facebook and WhatsApp groups before I took the trip so I thank God for that 😊

Hey Letty can I ask if South Korea accept confirmation letter if you don't have a degree certificate? Does SAQA even verify if it's a confirmation letter?

Hello Letty Just wanted to ask…with the JET Program what do they mean original documents because they do not return the documents? Does original mean colour copy ( not certified) then the other 2 copies in black and white because it doesn’t make sense to give them original certificates. Please assist
