If u hear this from the left or right side it may be your wheel bearing, jack the car up an wiggel each wheel an which ever is lose that is the one withe a worn wheel bearing
This helped me figure out that my dust shroud/shield on my rotor was loose after swapping tires and causing a scraping noise when accelerating and wheels moving. Thanks!
Bro. I literally just took my car in for this noise. Still makes the noise. Just quieter :/ Edit: I lifted my car up and fixed it myself. They welded one side of the resonators heat shield, but not the other lol. Waste of money paying people to do this stuff. Ended up putting a new resonator on. Now the sounds gone :)
@royalvibes4433 ok. The catalytic converter and the resonator are both parts of the exhaust, which is underneath the car; not in the engine bay (A.K.A under your hood). These parts have heat shields on them, which do exactly as is in their name. They shield the underside of your car from the heat of the exhaust pipes. These are usually welded on, but when those welds get rusty, the can fail. This causes the rattling noise. Just Google your car's make and model to find out where all your heat shields are located. My car, for example, has 2.
That sounds exactly like a catalytic converter issue..check all your thin metal heat shields on the exhaust, they make that same exact sound intermittently when loose
@@theloosemoose8200 I also hear this issue when I go up a slope and press on gas, and I am about to make a 600 miles trip. Is this something that I should fix before the trip? Would appreciate your opinion.
Since it was only happening at certain speed, I knew it was most likely something loose banging into something. Took it to dealer, they fixed it in 20 min. Just loose heat shield by the catalyst. They removed it and it's fixed.
My cars making this noise & dealership said i need my cvt replaced. Did you figure out what this noise actually is?
Wheel bearing
i have same issue on my toyota yaris ..., what could be issue ??

My Cadillac does this I need a solution on why please

what was loose shield fixing cost?
free just do it your self its simple
My BMW turned out to be a loose exhaust mount
Was it doing it when you reversed as well
No for me it's on the left side, same noise but only when I push on the gas, not when I reverse or stop

@royalvibes4433 just know, as sketchy as this particular rattle sounds, there's no real damage being done to the car. In this case, it's just a noise.
it’s called wind
😂😂 bruhh

It was the catalyst heat shield
