I would never buy another ACER Laptop. I dropped my laptop from about 2 1/2’ - 3’, and it broke the hinges? With $300 more, I could’ve bought an Apple MacBook. These laptops are too weak. Made out of cheap plastic. I would not recommend any of these thin laptops, unless; I can do some serious research before buying.

I have HP omen 15 ceoxx, and it is having same issue showing 5 blinks and 3 blinks and screen does not turn on, but i took it to the shop and they checked and every component of laptop is completely fine including ram, and all stuff. But it is still now showing the display. What could be the problem?

My laptop says the same 90B error upon startup. I changed the GPU fan like a few months ago and it was all working fine until i upgraded my ram myself and changed the battery as well and then I had a BIOS update and now everytime upon startup I get this message and the fans don't work correctly on the designated RPMs like it used any help here?

Damn man, my brand new Yoga 7 pro X just got black screen exactly like yours, fans and lights are still operating, it went black out when i wake it up from sleep mode. Found your video and do exactly what you did and it works like a champ, thanks a bunch!! P/s: yes we don’t need to screw out the battery to get the cmos disconnected, just take off the back lit, disconnect the cmos, wait 1 minute, reconnect, and boom, it’s alive.

I just got this kit and was scratching my head wondering where the stock AMD bracket was too! So thankyou for posting this!

I had similar problem with HP laptop. It was 5 long and 3 short blinks. It said some components are not seated well. So I opened the casing and ensured all components are fitted properly. The cpu fan was lifted a bit due to hinge problem. Fixed it and it worked.

Hi on your website for this service you specify that The Operating System / MacOS will be re-installed and any data on the macbook will be erased. I was ready to book until i saw this, i still want the data on the computer!

I did the same thing. Replaced internal HD but accidentally broke off fan connector. The mini is otherwise fully functional, but without the fan, runs at close to 90 degC all the time, which is probably not good for the continued life of the mini. But given the repair prices quoted on this site, it's more cost effective to buy a whole refurbished 2012 mini (which is what I did).

Would the damaged charging port cause the laptop to not turn on even when it has 80% battery? My laptop showed it was charging when it wasn’t plugged in, so I restarted went to restart it and it turned off and never turned back on. Same model and year as the one in the video.
