Doesn't have to be "bar oil" only. These work on a gear driven pump that will need primed...use vegetable oil or something light to start the flow, then switch to 10w 30, or bar oil. If that doesn't work open to inspect gear & tension spring.

Wonderful info, over time my rubber pieces need replacing due to compression. I know parts are not available but do you have a diy fix?

NOTE- the timing of the impulses on the hourly rewind is off a few seconds. It is hard to get just right without a test marker face to line up the minute hand correctly.

What is 62960? Is it a battery?

Not gravity fed. it has a pomp that may need adjustment. If it isn't oiling, remove the sprocket and the side cover and check the pump as soon as you suspect it isn't oiling cause it will ruin the bar quickly. No big deal, it's an easy fix.

The oil is NOT Gravity fed!!!! There is a small oil pump under that cover. The problem is they gear for the pump has to move back and forth but the factory uses glue that gums up the channel that the pump rides in. The pump has to be removed and the small channel cleared of the extra glue.

Another big storm here left a mess, this pole saw got work done my regular gas saw couldn't deal with. Don't underestimate the HF electric pole saw, it's a good tool. Treat it with some respect and it'll do the job. **and yes, great storage tip**

Best part of this video is the tip on storage. I have been storing mine standing straight up and the oil has been leaking out. Until now I thought something might be broken with the saw. Thanks much.

I saw a couple reviews it seems like this pole chainsaw is well liked they wanted some insurance 20 bucks I figured I'd just buy two of them I don't like extended warranties there's too many ways to get cheated they say it's a 2-year extended but it's not extended cuz it includes the manufacturer's warranty.... so yes I appreciate this especially if it's undocumented installation and I also learned that when I sharpen my chainsaw I should turn the bar over....

Nice video and great showing people the correct method of keeping a good seal for the bar oil. But I have the same model and unless they changed the design the tank actually feeds a pump run off the same gear as the sprocket. A tube goes from the pump to the hole oiling the chain.
