pittsburgh has a good sae set but needs to improve metric set it skips sets
Throw them all in a toolbox and let em rattle around for a couple of years and they'll all match. Customers dont care how shiny your tools are, the just want their car fixed...
You should grow a huge mustache. Your channel would do better if you did.
Doyle is the HF version copy of Klein.
Another difference is that Mac is made in the United States and Doyle Taiwan
You got a point there. But a lot of people that work From home canterford mac tools
Wow let me try that again. I'm using talk to text. A lot of people that work from home can not afford mac tools so it is a good alternative
I have the multiple electricians pliers (Doyle) strippers, cutters, crimper, bolt cutters and long nose tip. As per their add they compare to the Klein version and come close to them or equal to them. There are 2 different things to the pliers 1. They are made in USA 🇺🇸 the Klein version and these are made in Taiwan 🇹🇼 and the Kleins are $10-20 more than the Doyle's I have both versions as well as Milwaukee, southwire, kobalt version and husky version and Walmarts hart version and they all work great. They are (the Doyle pliers) my go to pliers so's not to get my good ones stolen or ripped off.
Are u in Chattanooga??
Nope. Stuck in California for now
how are they holding up?
So far so good. We're on a couple years now and I haven't had one break. I did find the ones I use the most do wear a little bit in the open jaw. But not enough to complain about
Did you find your snap on cutters?
I have used Pittsburgh wrenches for a long time and never had a bend or breakage. they are fine for most of the work i do, on auto or motorcycles, Harley and metric.
I have the same vice. who makes it? mine doesn't say
Mine is a Wilton
@@ivesman2000 thankyou
I use these on my bicycle they work perfect
you rock dude
Nice van
Bought the long Pittsburgh Wrenches using the 19mm - 24mm for alignments in 2005. Still have them in 2021, and have no issues!
Harbour Freight has Doyle made in Taiwan awesome quality 5stars..Doyle made in china 4 stars
For the average DIY’er, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with these wrenches. They will serve you well and not bust your budget. Unless you make your living with these kinds of tools, there’s no reason to spend 4 to 5 times on a tool truck brand wrench vs. the Pittsburgh Pro line.
I totally agree with you. But on a side note I have been using them in the professional setting. Not all the time, but they work well
What the hell...sears Craftsman from 50 years ago were polished on the ends and rough in the middle. I have over 50 Craftsman wrenches from over 50 years ago, they look awful compared to cheap chome plated Pittsburgh wrenches.
I probably would agree with you if I owned a fifty-year-old set. But Craftsman has been cheap China junk for awhile now. So I stand by what I said. I've been using these ranches for about 2 years now in a professional setting, and I am still impressed with them.
how are the Doyle's holding up 2 years later?
So far so good. Haven't had to replace any of them yet.
@@ivesman2000 good news. I love it when myths are debunked
How Pittsburgh holding up? Do you recommend or should I buy another brand?
So two years later and I still use them and have no regrets of this purchase. One of the better purchases I have made. I would buy them again!
Thank u.
Nice bag,I use canvas tool roll ups for screwdrivers and wrenches which fit in the bag......
Hows the 1/2 bauer on axle nuts or harmonic balancer nuts
I am a channel locks fan but a guy at my work, (I do industrial electric work) had 2 pairs of the Doyle 12 inch pliers like the channel locks and he let me use them and I couldn't tell any difference in performance of the pliers.. I went and bought 2 pairs of Doyle slip groove, channel lock style pliers and I love them things..
I've removed axle bolts with the 1/2 inch and it cross threaded. I've done some amazing things with the 3/8ths. An old Clint Eastwood saying comes to mind though. A man's gotta know his limitations. Compared to my air tools these are weaker and slower.
They replicated Channellock with these pliers
How about for rent ???
Rent is a tough one. That depends on where you live. My rent on my shop has not changed in 10 years but I also know if I was closer to LA my rent would be more than triple.
Luv my 10 Knipex Alligator Pliers' I pocket carry them Daily at Work 💪
Those Pittsburgh wrenches are fantastic! I have sets in both SAE and Metric. Neither have given me issue and they perform well every day. Definitely worth the money.
I love it when I go to pullapart, and find snapon tools under a car
Hwy 58? In Chattanooga? Anyway, I'm a huge Doyle fan. For the money, they hold up perfect for what I do. I'm a DIY tool user. I work on my own cars and my own appliances. I recently picked up two new socket sets. A TEKTON 3/8 and 1/4. Both are no skip master sets. The quality compared to the price is incredible. Should last me as long as I need it to. I learned a few years ago to start looking for tolls made in Taiwan rather than tools made in China. Of course I will buy american-made, German made etc when I can but that's not always the most sensible. Thanks for the review, Cheers
Well I hate to tell you this, But I am in "The people's republic of California"
@@ivesman2000 you're always welcome in Tennessee. I can't imagine what you've been going through out there.
Trying to decide between the predator 9000 and the champion 9000 models
I'm gonna stick to the Champion on this one. You get more bang for the buck. And I have not had one issue so far.
The steel in pittsburgh wrenches is not softer! Unless your a friggen metallurgist, stop nocking them. Whether it's a snapon, or Pittsburgh pro, they're all forged the same way, period!
I guess you didn't understand the reason for my video. I actually like the Pittsburgh wrench set. In my opinion they are not as strong as the snap on or Mack or whoever else that you use. What is a person that uses wrenches all day long I've been using these for about a year now and I have been really happy with them. I think it's the best bang for your buck you can get. I'm sorry you took my video the Wrong Way.
If the bauer is the same as the earthquake this is just a warning I bought the earthquake and it was only able to do 90 ftlb of torque it couldn't do 100 ftlb
Also where it's made don't matter what matters is the company and their commitment to quality control
People always knock Chinese made tools I don't get it forged metal is forged metal doesn't matter what we call the land it was made on! And China is capable of making good steel.. Why wouldn't they be able to?
These aren't made in China, they're made in Taiwan. It's actually a big difference. It's not just how it's made ie forging, it's the materials that they used to make it with. Lots of different types of steel quality out there as well as overall finish. The wire cutters aren't worth a crap if they're not ground properly. Taiwan is where a lot of high-priced name brand tools are made.
Omg are you a metallurgist? Snap/ on is no better than any other tool manufacturer. When over stressed it will break/bend just the same. Your right though, there is a big difference between snap/on and every other maker, price$! Everyone else I can afford. With snap/on, i can claim the driver on my taxes, pay off his house, put his kids through college. If you love paying up the ass for the Louis Vuitton of tools, by all means climb in that truck and drop your pants, cause your getting fucked. (Charges extra for the grease )
Interesting content, keep up the good work dude
I liked what you got on your channel
Great Information
Thank You
Thank you!
I own several of those Doyle and I love them I got the die cutters but... Mine have a curve to them and are really really handy, I've used mine for about a year now I only warrantied one because i smacked really really hard on the rivet and got jammed xD.... But I loved them so much I also got the 12" ,14",16" channel lock style also and will get the 8" ones to
Great to see more videos and more positive feedback on theses bauer products I've been needing to get some but been on the fence about what brand to get into for the money
I just found you’re channel I like the content I’m trying to start my channel too I’ll do a shout out on my channel if you wanna do the same
I guess I was Already subscribed I’m sorry I didn’t realize that but either way I like the content that you put out and I would be willing to partner up with you and try to get you a couple of my viewers and I have only been putting TH-cam videos out for a couple days but my TH-cam videos have pretty good views 70 for the one in 3 days and I got ten subscribers 3 days in
Ive heard the wrneches of "Pittsburgh" are actually made in India. (the largest constitutional democracy inthe wordl). I know India has a history of casting decent diesel engines from the British empire days. Perhaps its carried forward into tools of today from INdia.
I feel sae now a day is just a luxary to own i own them but they hardly get any use ever
I had Pittsburg for a long time and they never gave me issues.
These cheaper Pittsburgh wrenches have definitely come up over the past ten years or so. I love the snap on wrenches I have they just fit better, but I have on more than one occasion recently bought the cheaper wrench due to needing it now and HF is a few blocks away versus waiting a few days for my snapon guy to show on his route.
You're telling me a $400 set of wrenches is made better than a $14 set? I'm shocked. Why doesn't anyone compare Pittsburgh tools to other midgrade tools like craftsman or kobalt?
My goal was to point out how cheap tools have come up in the world. That the difference is not as drastic as it once was. And that in my opinion, there is no "mid grade" anymore. Look at my newest video on using them in a professional work place. That video may be more accurate than this one.
@@ivesman2000 my point was the target customers of Harbor Freight are not the same target customers of Snap-On, MAC, and MatCo. Most shoppers of Harbor Freight are comparing those tools to Stanley, Craftsman, Kobalt, etc. Those kinds of reviews would be more helpful. However, it is your channel and you seem to make good videos. I was just venting.
@@adamwiggins8290 What are you talking about "Target customers"? Target doesn't sell tools.
@@dangrimes5078😂
You can buy tools from home Depot now just as cheap sometimes cheaper during the holiday sales.
