Sending out light attack fighter wings against early cappers, Keeping a wing of anti-air wings on patrol, covering potential incoming strikecraft vectors, managing scouts, and looking for oppertunities to strike.
what needs to be adressed tends to only appear when you push it to the limit, and I think I have a grasp on what I am lacking. only more experience will give me brain power to actually put the issues I noticed down for good, so long as I remember them that is.

Turns out accuracy doesn't matter much if you only get 4 wing's worth of sorties, when they an throw out 40 minimum. This will be addressed in future iterations.

I kind of want to see if you can make a cruise missile snipe fleet to try and take out carriers. Seems like most are skimping on defence
The carrier itself most likely dose not, but with the sheer number of sarissa/FLAK around, it would be difficult; not to mention the range requirements.

Dear scout, this video was a masterclass on ship micro and positioning! The way u used one ax for tanking/deflect and other to inflict max damage with broadside and after that used one ax in front of other to tank it was awesome to see! As always top tier videos, I'm loving to see the new update ones. Keep it up!!

@@Cooldude-ko7ps the entire reason one takes a cello is to multirole frontline support, no? If if can't provide PD, sensors, and some anticaital at once, it's better to take the specialized OSP hulls instead.

@@rambunctiousmedia3350 it's deliberately underpowered, that requires radar off for the grazers to fire along with other systems; failing that, said other systems like guns.
i will never understand how people fit so much into 3k points i might just be fundamentally incapable of understanding it given my long-standing habit of vastly over-equipping a smaller than average number of ships (i am dumb so i concentrate all my capability onto as few ships as possible so i can actually pay attention to them) that or i'm incapable of making cheap missiles and should just stop trying to use missiles at all LUL anyway, need more railguns
A small recommendation, when you design a fleet chose a role for each ship, and fit them with the absolute minimum to fullfil that role. Usually you will find that trying to fit to many specialisation/role in a ship is the reason for the overspending.

That's something that's been an issue with this game, you have a bunch of people who refuse to play without stacks, and they wonder why the game isn't popular. Stomping newbies isn't fun.
this game seriously is the closest game yet to show how three dimensional, frictionless space combat would actually look like. especially the frictionless part, very few space games are brave enought to actually simulate that

IF anyone can pull off the above idea i think you can scout... and if not 2 frigates in each task force perhaps replace one frigate each with a corvette that has a flak and dual 120?
@@DeeRekDreadnought 4FF missile boxes or 2FF 2FFL misile box/ bombers are already a thing. Bot comes to mind, perhaps try lookin for his fleets in the official discord's shipyard channel.
Man Nebulous is one of those games I've wanted yo really get a grasp of but have never known "how to learn" outside of jumping into PvP and learning from defeat, which I've been too scared to do for a while. This new update is bringing me back though since a lot of people are starting from square one again, I want to stick with it

12:00 Dang I was really excited for that Strike. Perfect Setup... perfect seemingly undodge-able short range Mass Strike on a SOLO target.... then 1 little Chaff and its easily a total Miss..... So my question is to you how would YOU do it again if you had to?
@@devon4520 send the escorts further forward and let the fighters fully finish the run. I had tantos to spare in this fleet, should've commited despte the losses, even if chance of hitting was low.

Still have no clue how to outfit it without it taking 2k points on ammo/survivability or without reducing fighter complement - something that the Journeyman shouldn’t have to do as it will always have less capacity than a Levy

@@Bang-ld4be Outfitting options are very limited on the Journeyman but it's fairly easy to make one fit within 1500 pts. Internals are pretty much set in stone, the only choice you have is what craft you want to bring. 24 multirole fighters is really simple and surprisingly decent against light ships. I've also experimented with 12 fighters and 6 bombers to be able to tackle heavier stuff - it works but any losses are felt immediately. A mix of fighters with some scout craft would also probably work decently, but I have a radar tug and shuttles in my journeyman fleet so I rely on them instead.

35mm Flechette is amazing in a dogfight 35mm slugs are a mistake, it's literally a downgrade from 20mm Coilgun tho....if he was using Coilguns i can guarantee that dogfight would end in a few minutes with Tantos winning
Fighters ruining sim for everyone while contributing nothing to their teams other than impotently swarming around each other, sounds like an awful game to be in tbh.
@@Cloakdasasin0 Not to mention abandoning allies to be shredded to reload EVERY FIGHTER AT THE SAME TIME. They have multiple groups for a reason

I think the all Tanto build is the way scout... Im shocked without the bombers you can field two escort carriers! it was so satisfying in the beginning of the match when you slaughtered that huge wing of barracudas... but then after the epic melee in the center all your tantos got killed while the enemy was trying to land... it seemed that the tantos should have killed more barracudas in the big battle, and it seemed like you should have slaughtered them when they RTB'd but i guess the game didnt respond that way. your tactics were sound tho! it really does seem the OSP bias is in full effect
They didn't slaughter them because they were down to just guns after fighting a consistent 2v1 disadvantage using 35mm on evade, and running into enemy flak... If that's bias to you then idk what balance is.
From what I have seen the main difference is that the barracuda can take more fire than the tanto. The tanto being stealthier. Yes the barracudas win in a straight up fight that's just how it's build.
@@SizzleCorndog It was closer to 3:1 against ANS at a couple points in that fight, and OSP were still taking losses. Yeah, I'm not seeing the balance issue here. Once the New Hotness effect wears off and ANS remembers they have really fucking good cruise missiles, I think Moorlines are gonna start sweating.

I dont know what build everyone has that allows so many crafts in their fleets
a Moorline or double levy can take quite the number of strikecraft, typically above 40+ and hovering around 60~90.
Most of what i have seen from OSP with a ton of strikecraft are usually pretty light on missiles and rely on guns to field 40-50 barracudas

You don't bring a ton of armaments with these load outs. You can build a 1.5k levy with 42 fighters, mostly set to anti craft, and carry occasional s2 strikes, and bombs. @@Der_Dekanter
The OSP Bias on the carrier update was criminal both factions needed a fleet carrier and an escort carreir. Constantly being out numbers and their carrying capacity being 2x of ANS... feels bad man.
Doube Levy outspeeds OSP in sheer loading and cycle speed. Use S2 minstage-standoff spam S2 Bay fighters and watch as OSP is forced to withdraw fighters or chase you into your frontlines PD for a fight you will win up to 6:1 disadvantage If they do the same you have coilguns to cringe them What is OSP ganna do, chase your fighters into triple vaux PD+RPF?

@@patrickcoleman6429 yeah, honestly CLs doing escort duty feels just right. As long as they dont ambush you while fighting another fleet, like bombshell MNs, you can delete entire crafts squadrons in no time
Everyone just says that because OSP can take a billion fighters. Yesterday I stomped 2 other carriers as ANS because of SDM2 missiles and because I saw through allied radar coverage bombing runs before they started. The only thing I could do that match was just launch almost all of my tantos in an admittedly risky bid for void supremacy while they trickled in to escort their bombers. My bombers did nothing all match because of the enemy's PD but because I was able to cover my allies they stayed in long enough to brawl with other ships.
Also osp needs a boost like holy shit no one plays them. Which is a shame.

Burn sweep, as in using the rdar's burn function to send out a powerful radar ping. Frontline/Parallax/Huntress is capable of doing this, and can be used to pierce jamming or detect stealthy craft within radar range.
Could you flash a png of your fighter editor so we know what’s up. It’d be real nice
The fighter designs are not that great yet, I'd suggest looking up on the official discord if you want some proper designs.
