$100 Dollar Paint Job For My Old Truck! BUDGET Garage Makeover

Extremely good results for cheap. In this video I used a small garage air compressor, basic electric palm sander, Harbor Freight hvlp gun, and Speedokote paint and primer from Ebay.
Ultimate 12v Cummins Budget Build
มุมมอง 67Kปีที่แล้ว
290K Mile 12v Cummins build that I have less than $500 total into paint and parts. All the work was completed by myself with average shop tools and a couple trips to Harbor Freight. Paint is Speedo Cote Paint off of eBay along with the primer. Rough country shocks and a bunch of other cheap misc. eBay parts pulled this truck together. Still a lot of work to be done but it has come a long ways.
You have a cool ass dad
Fuckin sweet
I have red door panels for my crew cab. I did not know they are hard to find.
Great build, and thank you for not just doing a 5 inch exhaust and big tip just to be annoying. Thank you for making a real work truck daily driver
Wow nice build!!
Never have I ever seen this
Gotta use adhesion promoter on mirrors and stuff otherwise paint wont stick lol
1st gen resistance makes rear door panels
Clean setup.
I have a random question regarding your garage setup. Do you know how long the truck is without the bumpers? My reason for asking is to see if it would fit in a garage similar to mine. I am inspired to tackle this type of project at home but I'm not sure a 2nd gen would fit. Thank you for the excellent content and any info you can give me.
Not sure but a single cab long bed should fit in any two car garage.
I will give it a shot when I find a good project candidate. Thanks for the videos, keep it up
Great job keep it up
I love this! I pulled a 95 out a field with 340k miles and I'm doing a very similar thing. Love it. My dad is toast, that's next on the menu for me
Looks sick brother
Where dod you get the bed?
Great build, thanks for going from start to finish. Im looking to at a 12valve dually to do that with. a little apprehensive because i dont want to go broke on a project.
Just bought a 01 5.9 24v few days ago. I pick it up today and get about 1 mile down the road it stalls for a second and then goes right back to normal. I drive it about 7 miles to my parents' house cause my place is 24 miles. It drives geat but just stalls out like the fuel is being cut off and then goes back to running normal. It stalled like 10 or 12 times. Any thoughts as to where i should start looking? That being said, it rolls black smoke through all 6 gears more smoke than iv ever seen one smoke, which i know is normal to an extent when one is turned up.
This is cool truck
Teach me how to paint like you poppi chulo , fr though 🤣
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
lol my 98 is white 2 .. Tremclad white! Good stuff!
Sounds nice.
Keep it plugged in at night Next morning, starts right up, instant heat for your defroster
A black bumper and grille would look really good and contrast nice i think
Nice man that’s a lot of time into that pickup. Shows good work ethic.
Nice were can i find the airbag setup?
Beautiful truck, I need a little help on my build very similar to yours, would you be cool to exchange numbers to ask you a few questions, I have a 2002 Dodge 2500. If not, we could use another form of communication as well.
DM me on insta @alpha__garage
I wish my 95 looked that good or i had some where to paint it
an amazing build brother! would be nice to see some more cheaper builds in the future too!
It looks great but just make the chrome on the front black that out and it would look so much better…
What’s your wheel and tire setup on it?
20x9 0 offset on 35x12.50’s
Awesome build man! Looks real good🙌🏻🙌🏻
Pro tip, The homemade paint booth, Good job, great idea, next time, crack that garage door, and cut a whole in the plastic to stick a fan to blow out. but tape the plastic around the fan. Clear it up in there and cut dust and stuff down drastically. Nice project though my man, You did a good job. Nothing like creating something yourself.
Wow that definitely turned out to be a sweet truck for sure , Good Job
What’s the price on it?
love the beld man looks great
Great Job!
love the work man looks good
Badass rig congrats
The fact that your driving mudders on the road is what is turning them into racing slicks. If you want a more aggressive tread with a tire that'd last a bit longer, you'd be better off with A/Ts and not M/Ts
Definitely the burnouts.
@@Taite1 The uneven wear on the front tires also tells me he needs a front end alignment.
Who would have thought that off-road tread would wear out by driving normally down the street?
Your front end desperately needs an alignment
There isn’t a single part on the front end that doesn’t need replaced😂
Where’d you get those taillights
At a Peterbilt store. They are semi trailer lights.
That sounds so good
What kind of flatbed is that?
It was a senior project so it’s all custom
Very nice, i really like your truck!
Rupert?

Single stage paint?
Looks crazy good on camera, reason for asking.
Yes it’s a single stage epoxy
I just seen this truck the other day in burley looks good man 🤙🏼
👌👍
Nice work!!
She'll do 200K more with no effort. My 99 has 327K. Sweet build. I think .ud flaps fr/rr would look sweet
I’ve seen a few over 800k. Motor keeps running, but the poor trucks fall apart😂
