Our first free weekend - we decided to head out to Dalmorton- unfortunately the road was closed from flood damage. So we headed to Lilydale before enjoying the evening at the 2022 Grafton Jacaranda Festival.

Eliot Falls and Bramwell Tourist Park - Cape York Must Do’s!
มุมมอง 409ปีที่แล้ว
On the way home we just had to stay at Eliot Falls campground and spend as much time as we could swimming in the amazing crystal-clear waters. We then headed to Bramwell Station Tourist Park as it was another place that was highly bragged about- and we are so glad that we did! Both Eliot Falls Campground and Bramwell Tourist Park need to be booked in advance as they both get booked out every ni...
The Most Northern Point of Australia! 'The Tip' Cape York Peninsula / Five Beaches Drive
มุมมอง 368ปีที่แล้ว
After all the anticipation, we finally made it to the Most Northern Point of Australia 'The Tip'. It was an emotional day as Sarah went in honour of her Pop and spread a few ashes. After a some-what humorous mix-up, we drive the five beaches in less than 2 hours - rather than the 3 days we thought it would take! Loyalty Beach is such a lovely place to stay! Highly Recommend. As well as taking a...
Crossing the Jardine River Ferry. exploring RAAF history sites - The last WWII RADAR standing.

We then explored the various RAAF Royal Australian Air Force history sites before another beautiful sunset back at Loyalty. Stay tuned for next week when we get to see The Most Northern Tip of Australia!
Old Telegraph Track (Northern p.2) Mistake Creek to Nolans Brook. Lots of water crossings!
มุมมอง 968ปีที่แล้ว
Day 3 on the OTT! The Old Telegraph Track on the Northern side is full of water crossings! Each crossing has many options, and it is well worth getting out to walk and check each crossing track before driving. Checking the water level and how solid the bottoms are of each crossing is important as you never know if there is debris, holes, or slippery bottoms that could cause issues.
Old Telegraph Track (Northern) Eliot Falls to Sam Creek. A beautiful day to relax, swim and explore!
มุมมอง 264ปีที่แล้ว
A bit of a slower paced video this week! After pumping through some of the bigger 4WD challenges on the Southern end of the OTT, it was so lovely to spend the entire day just swimming and exploring the waterfalls. Once we arrived at Sam Creek, we decided to set up camp for the night and take advantage of having our own private little waterfall. A change to recuperate before taking on Nolans! St...
Old Telegraph Track (South p.2) The Troopy gets stuck (again) Watch the wildlife at Cockatoo Creek
มุมมอง 513ปีที่แล้ว
Water crossings, Gunshot creek (we were NOT brave enough for that!) stuck in the mud and finishing the day at the beautiful Cockatoo Creek! Lots of fun, and lots of time to just hang out and swim. Sarah was in love with all the birds at Cockatoo Creek, and we were even lucky enough to get a quick visit from the rare and Endangered Palm Cockatoo! Their calls could be heard throughout the afterno...
Old Telegraph Track (South) -Bramwell to Dulhunty River- Troopy takes on the OTT
มุมมอง 1.2Kปีที่แล้ว
The Troopy takes on the OTT (Old Telegraph Track) September 2022 After warming up on the Frenchmans Track, we had a rest at Bramwell Station before taking on the Southern section of the Tele Track. Unfortunately at Palm Creek, our drone smashed into a vine and landed on a rock, so the drone footage from here on is extremely *wobbly* - Our adventures only continue to get better though! Don't for...
