I got this one. It hates me. Everytime. And I mean everytime I need a particular video file. That will then be the one file out of all the files it records that wont play back. It drives me nuts.
Have two of these, front and rear. Quite good image quality but often find video clips missing, just at the crucial moment of course.
@@davek2276 its strange that the one clip you need is always the one clip missing. I'm now going to fit this one at the rear of my car and now got a new 4k camera for the front.

I have this dash cam and am struggling to connect it to my phone to see the clips that it records. Could anyone tell me how to do it? On a iPhone please?
You need a laptop or computer
@@tomdude75 is that the only way I can view the clips? Or do you set it up on the lap top to then be able to see it on your phone?
@@chelseagillies3614 I believe so, I'm not aware of any way you can view the clips on the phone first. I've always used my laptop it's quite simple to view them. And I guess you could download the footage and then email it to yourself or find a way to send it to the phone
The image quality doesn’t look as good as my cheap one. Was gonna buy this due to the listing saying it doesn’t need the wire, but your review never mentioned that. Thanks for the review but I don’t think I’ll buy it.

Is this the type 2 hitch lock mate??
My 312G is a steaming pile of.... junk! It keeps freezing. Tried two brand new Genuine Nextbase Class 10 SD cards and it is properly hardwired into the car. This is my 3rd and last Nextbase dashcam.
I have one of these but I’m not sure what to do if I have an accident. Am I supposed to press something to save that portion of video?
Hello colin when the dash cam is involved in a crash it will auto lock what part, hope that helps
1. Install dashcam into car 2. Make sure a mini SD card is inserted 3. Hardwire or plus into cigarette lighter 4. Drive your vehicle 5. In the event of an incident, take mini SD card out, view on PC/laptop and copy and paste video section to a PC/laptop 6. Don’t share or publish video online, otherwise your case might be void 7. Send video to insurance company 8. Insert mini SD card back and carry on with your life It couldn’t be more simple! I’ve used one for 3/4 years, never used the CD supplied and I also have no idea what “auto lock” is, unless you’re talking about when you’re away from your vehicle and the dashcam starts recording if someone crashes into it, but my experience is this feature doesn’t work very well.

Great video,i am looking for a nice good 1080p dash cam and will have a closer look to this one,i was about 4k but its no point cause 4k take much more space in ssd and 1080p full hd look perfect
Hello can I access all information on my phone. (Videos ect) as we no longer have a computer in the house. Just mobiles and tablets. Been looking for a while this seems like one of the best for the price. Can you access an app on phone to upload any video to social media
If you download the app you will be able to send the vids from then dashcam to your phone
Ho I was also told that when engine is switched off the screen is permanently on. Is this the case with yours. Thanks in advance

Take the SD CARD out of the the dash cam and insert it into the SD CARD READER then connect it to your PC and format it (AS IT MAY HAVE LOCKED FOOTAGE ON THERE ) put SDCARD BACK IN dash cam see if that helps good luck

I have the same camera but wen driving it doesn't tell me my speed. Why is that
No it wont show you the speed that you are doing but if you use the download nextbase app then use the data cable to the dashcam it will upload to itand show you the speed a map route you took and G mater hope that helps

Good question. As far a I am aware once its recording it will continue to record, when its unplugged and switched off you and plug it back in and it will record that's using the nextbase sd card 32gig Hope that helps

@@lois20 I use windows media player too but if i had to use the nextbase platform it would only be for the insurance company as that shows the speed map direction G meter on one screen

usually if the dashcam as a g shock sensor it will start recording if its off and the battery as power. So if someone bumps your car when its parked up it'll record and make the file safe from deleting.

I personally don't rate hitchlocks ,iff they want to steal it they just put a chain through the caravan 'A' frame and away they go.

Plastic ball you call hitch-lock security?
the ball it to keep the hitch clean the lock covers the handle so you cant release the ball till the loch is removed hope that help

Thanks for this video. Does this pick up number plates well on other cars? I have the same problem as you mentioned at thte start of the video as I have a cheap one off the internet and although it's ok, it is terrible at picking up number plates clearly.
It does puck up number plates very well with the Nextbase software you can zoom in and see them closer as well
