[EDIT] Alternative ending re-edit.
[DISCLAIMER] Yes, I need a disclaimer. There are very crazy people out there who do very crazy things, so things can't be just for fun. This is clearly a spoof of the old westerns from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. All scenes, stunts, and actions are done safely and clearly edited. Nothing is meant to be taken seriously, there is no affiliation or reference with any company, agency, group, or any other conceivable thing that can be taken out of context. This is meant to be a joke. And a very special F U to the insane people who force me to edit content because they can't behave like sane adults.

      Lol no I totally get it. It's very very important to keep that bottle capped, so many videos and stories of sparks getting in there and boom. When it comes to muskets and such, generally I prefer making cartridges ahead of time (more fun and easier) but if I just get the itch on an afternoon I'll just pull out the range box. As for a new person starting up? Well if you're getting let's say a musket, plus range gear, and maybe some body worn kit, unfortunately in 2024 you're probably looking at minimum 2k to start... However.... Let's say a second hand or even a basic new hawken plus basic range gear? Maybe 500 bucks or so, but we're talking basic basic. I personally started with a second hand 51 navy brass repro with no knowledge or kit (birthday gift from my dad) and kind of went from there. Let's say that was around 14 years ago plus, so gathering up gear and such was maybe 100 bucks. I suppose it depends on what gear you want to start with and of course the cost of the times, but muzzleloading is far cheaper (and more fun) than most newer stuff ammo included. Check out the black powder maniac channel, fun videos and really gives you the shooting itch every time you watch. Plus I've met him in person, really awesome guy. Hope that edition of 'war and peace' response helps 😂

Just an FYI; I lost the "bb" that puts the snap in the safety and replaced it with a bb I found and it works great. Also a little squirt of silicone spray in the mags once in a while doesn't hurt.

    Just took mine out of the original case and did a field stripping with a cleaning and light oiling. I bought mine over twenty some years ago when I couldn't afford the Beretta 92. This is a very good gun. It shoots better than I can hand hold it. Is it heavy? Yes it is. Is it restricted to 10 rounds because of the California limits of the 90's? Yep but if you can't stop someone with ten rounds of 40 S&W at 7 yards to 10 yards, you probably need a shotgun.

    If the "Nylon 77"" was only made from '87-'89 how did I get one for my 12th birthday, IN 1970? My uncle had a tubular mag. 66 before that, but I got mine in '70. I'm not familar with the Apache designation but mine is identical to the one you are showing in this video. My dad got a Ruger 10/22 a bit later that would cycle most any cartridge in its rotary mag., but my 77 only cycles reliably with CCI Stingers. It took me a bit to learn that. I don't know if it is the casing material or the fact that it has more punch but thats what I use in it to this day.. If you have any info that explains the time difference here I'd love to know what it is, but I assure I got my Remington Nylon 77 in 1970. It came with a couple 10 round clips. I got a 5 round one later. Also, my uncles 66 was green and my 77 was brown.

      @rifleman17hmrshooter 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm wondering if just "The Apache" came out later. When it comes to some of the sub models it can be a bit tedious finding info. I really like this rifle and will likely do a follow-up eventually, I'll see what else I can find out about it

      @thomaspondysh957 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@rifleman17hmrshooter Thanks much. Mine was brown and you said the Apache was green, I think. Maybe that was the only difference. I think the problem I had with mine not cycling was more mag than anything else. I sprayed the mag with silicon spray and that seemed to help quite a bit.

      The original Nylon 77 in brown (and with a 5 round box magazine) came out in 1970. Only about 16,000 were made before Remington discontinued it. Years later, Remington reintroduced the gun through KMart as the Apache 77 in the green color and with a 10 round magazine. Except for the color and the magazines (which are interchangible) the guns are identical.

Early season challenges include sunrise WAY too early, lots of yellowjacket activity in the woods, dressing for the August weather, and having to get the animal off the ground quickly when you make a kill. On the upside, you can get in and out of the woods before it's swarming with hunters looking for that monster bull. I found myself nodding along with you on the early season prep.
