My friend that's a nice rig you have built an I like The sound of the out runner thank you for sharing your videos
Nice, where is this filmed?
Better than the hobbywing g4 you think?
TRUMP 2024
G'day i saw your vid on your cool VF body however for some reason comments seemed were turned off on that vid, just was wondering how you got the mirrors on your VF as the bodyworx VF shells dont seem to come with them, did you just print some or get some from another body? Cheers Paul🙂🤙
Lol are we all automatically programmed the same???….. 😂 you’re like the 7th person i don’t know and seen for the first time and has an ecto with the 420 on the same location haha this is awesome.
What chassis?
Im running a awesomatix a800mmx, I was only running a pmw value 8k on the day too, thats why rpm was a bit lower
Is it orca, or killer whale the rc car eater? Fast right out of the box and I'll be getting one soon
Its definitely a killer bro. Worth every cent.
Iris hands down winner for my money didnt know if the new shock setup was up to the challenge looks like it handles pretty well thanks
My Awesomatix goes just as quick, not much difference at all buddy.
😁😁👍👍
Thanks for watching buddy.
The Iris looks very noble 😉I was also thinking to get such a racer for my channel. I appreciate your visit 👍Cheers
Thanks for watching buddy. Yeah its a nice piece of kit, think ill be sticking with my Awesomatix MMX for a while though. Have a Tamiya TT01 race truck coming which will be good for this year's race season.
Informative! Good times.
Glad you enjoyed thanks for watching buddy.
😁😁👍👍
Glad you enjoyed the video buddy.
Nice crawler build 😉 Have a nice day 👍 Cheers
Thanks buddy the Ecto is my favourite and one I won't be getting rid of any time soon. Thanks for watching and enjoy your day, Merry Christmas
@@hossrc420 Thank you my friend and same to you. I will upload an Unboxing video today and I hope I will love the Ecto like as you do 👍 Cheers
I have some videos of cheap and easy mods to improve the performance. Go with a 50w shock oil too buddy. Enjoy and keep rc fun.
@@hossrc420 Good idea and thank you for your support 😉 I appreciate your visit 👍 Cheers
I've been wanting to do one of these. I have an old TT01 laying around
You can probably convert it with a body, wheels tyres to suit. I know they have to have the stock tamiya esc, brushed 540 and only mods allowed are main shaft and bearings, you even have to keep the friction shocks. Thanks for watching buddy.
would like to get one but do not have an on road track near me there was but now unused and in bad repair. truck racing looks cool and fun
Thats a shame, we have some guys that travel around a hour on club days and I plan to travel to new to race next year too with one of the boys. The touring cars can be a challenge which I love but the trucks just look like great fun and im hoping to get one soon. Thanks for watching buddy, im glad you enjoyed.
I would be in my element there! Nothing like this in my area.
I had to travel 3 hours but it was worth it.
Love that body. Have never seen a decent holden body.
Thanks buddy. I found it on ebay from a store called twokeys. They also have a online store with different bodies available. Thanks for watching.
what remote are you using sir..?
I've been using a flysky gt5 for around 2 years now and I can't complain about it at all. Its reasonable cheap and has plenty of functions and even a gyro built into the reciever. Thanks for watching buddy
Nice video dude, iv just purchased a d10 motor for my mst. What size pinion are you running
Thanks for watch buddy. Im running 22 tooth pinion gear with the stock spur gear, i love the hobbywing setup and i find it pretty smooth for power delivery. Literally fitted a alloy ball diff today replacing the stock plastic straight axle setup.
Love the two tone colors on the Camaro.
Thanks buddy, the paint turned out nice on that body. Currently running a Aussie icon, a Holden Special Viehicle or HSV Maloo.
man thats one nice looking body with some nice drfifts too once you get used to it things will seem easier i just started to get into drifting lately although ive only got a TT01/02 and a cheap HSP AE86 on-road to use having fun and learning to slide and correct and just been enjoying the rc driving before i go spend some serious money on a proper drift rig, thanks for the video mate liked and subbed from Melbourne 🙂
Glad you enjoyed my content buddy. Being in Melbourne go check out MRC plaza they have a drift track and hobbyshop. I wanted to build a drifter for around 12 months before I bit the bullet and I'm definitely not looking back, I love the challenge involved getting it right with a rwd drifter.
😁😆👍👍
Thanks for watching buddy.
I just shortened the wheelbase on one of my cars to fit a mustang body and was taken aback by the way it changed the handling of the chassis, the transition from turn to turn took about 30 laps around my track to get use to it to do consistent laps with no spin outs, was a fun experiment. It was interesting how shortening the wheelbase by 9mm made such a big difference. Keep having fun.
Yeah it took me another half hour after I did the video to get some nice consistent drifts going. It transitions alot quicker now and I think ill be leaving it as is other then tuning in my suspension a bit better. Thanks for watching buddy.
doing great on track for the second time there. with the track to myself I found I gain comfidence and improved my driving . keep having fun mate. and conect those drifts.😊
Thanks buddy, it's great fun and I'm loving it. Can't wait to make it back to the track but for now I'll have to get a few more sections so I can use my diy track more.
@@hossrc420 for my diy home track I bought sheets of corflute (black) from bunnings I think they where $12.00 each cut it 120mm folded in halve and taped them to the floor with cloth tape same as the closest track to me has nice and strong for drift track edge walls.very easy to untape and make track harder to drive as my driving improved.
May have to get some of that stuff too to go with the garden edging I have atm and yeah ill have to start taping them down too
@@shermaddictedtorc8540 scored a Sakura D5 Mr for my son to start drifting too.
@@hossrc420 my d5 is a shelf queen at this time some how picked up a small grub screw last time i was at the track into the motor and burnt it out. I personally like the d4 and d5 that i have.My next one will be a yokomo rwd.but at the monent I am enjoying my 2 Kazama countersteers to much
the painted floor is very different to straight concret but so much more fun to run on keep up the practice and you will soon be running door to door. Keep having fun.
Yeah I agree, tested a few different tyres before I found a compound that wasn't too grippy with the paint. Yokomo DRC work great with the mst on painted floors. The track is very different to running markers but im getting there. Thanks for watching buddy.
😁😁👍👍

?
just tidied up the shed and built a drift track at home here (again) on the gold coast watching you gave me back the itch to drift daily and we do not have a track near me anymore. BROZ is the closest 40 minute drive but 10 seconds from back door is better. IF your ever down this way bring a crawler and the drift car and let me know and lets play.
Wish I had a shed to do that myself. The shopping centre is only around 5 mins away but usually have to wait for it to clear out enough in the afternoons before I can use it. Found a big stiff broom is an essential part of my kit now, having to clean the floor as my car was getting filthy. My nearest track is 3 hours away near Newcastle. Definitely be up for a run if I head up your way and I'm glad I've inspired you to gt back into it.
Mate - awesome rigs and driving! - Where exactly is that spot??
Thanks for watching buddy, glad you enjoyed. I crawl next to the bridge next to paradise caravan park Tamworth
@@hossrc420 What a top spot! I'm in GC....need to venture a bit to find rocks....you are very fortunate :) Luv the Gspeed Deadbolt. Are you running a revolver? - what esc?
Yes it is a awesome spot and others just like it nearby, one perk of living I the mountains. Im running a hardbody and class 1 tyres on the gspeed now. Im running the mamba micro x crawler edition with a 1400kv Holmes hobbies revolver.
@@hossrc420 I run a revolver also (Team Brood Riot S 1850kv) - with a Castle Sidewinder 2 Micro.....the Mamba Micro/Holmes revolver combo seems quieter than my setup.
Im not sure, I do know the yellow jacket is a bit quieter then the Holmes. The noise did annoy me to begin with but barely notice it now.
if you like 2wd you should try a 4wd counter steer car
Why?
I've got some 1:28 scale awd rc's. Have the gyro setup in my van now that comes with my gt5 reciever, works great. I'm loving the challenge of rwd drifting. Thanks for watching buddy.
persistance pays off good luck. If you would like some practice tips let me know.
Thanks buddy. I'm getting the hang of it. I've git adjustable tunbuckles coming too which will help get the setup dialled in. Im looking forward to going to some drift tracks when I get a chance. There arnt any around my area which sucks. Thanks for watching.
Did u cut the foams before u put them in the tire?
No buddy. I'm not running the thin outer foam that comes with them though, they conform great.
Crawling and drifting love both very few brakages compared to 1/10 or 1/8 of road racing.
I totally agree with that buddy, hoping to get a RMX 2.0 soon. I dont get many breakages with my crawlers except when my crawlers go tumbling down 4 meters plus lol. Thanks for watching buddy
what gyro did you use
I wasn't using a gyro in the video, I can use the gyro built into the gt5 reciever but don't think it's suitable for drifting.
@@hossrc420 I use Yokomo V4 (from memory) Gyros in all my rwd Drifters. The issue off no grip in the front is more than likely to be the no use of a gyro. At BOYZ TOYZ drift track at Yattla QLD we have quite a few of these trucks drifting. A proper drift gyro will transform the handling of the truck.
@@shermaddictedtorc8540 thanks for the tip buddy. I was considering something like that sometime soon. I still want to get some softer tpu for the front though.
Looking good, liking the mods. I've done some mods to my rig as well, just uploaded my first video (excuse the no intro and camera angle, I was driving and recording solo) LMK what you guys think. th-cam.com/video/p5S0dBMQXuk/w-d-xo.html
Sorry didnt see your comment, glad you enjoyed buddy. Ill check yours out. Recording while driving the rc isn't easy at times, trying to concentrate on two things at once and get it perfect is a real challenge. I've recorded climbs where I've had issues then when the camera is off I nail it lol
do you have the file for the van body I would love to download it.
Sorry I don't have it on hand. I doubt it on thingyverse, I just kept searching different variants of mini z and wltoys model numbers. It's surprising how much is available. Thanks for watching and im glad you enjoyed the content.
Cool rc
Thanks buddy. I glad you enjoyed and hope you get to hit the rocks too. Thanks for watching.
HI, Good video, what spur and pinion use?
Thanks for watching buddy. I'm running 17t pinion gear and 87 tooth spur gear in my Gspeed.
È troppo basso dietro questo crawler!!!
I've been thinking about removing the pen springs in the rear as it does sit a bit lower with the trailing arms. Thanks for watching buddy.
ᵖʳᵒᵐᵒˢᵐ 😏
Great video!! Both did Awsome that’s some crazy terrain if it’s hard it must be insanely grippy! So much in comparison videos tires size and rear body drag on yours but....amazing crawling!! Idk if I’d like rear steam.....I should do it. I’ve always thought I’d prefer dig? 🍻✌️👍👍
Thanks for watching buddy and glad you enjoyed my content. There wasn't much grip on the rocks today as we had rain yesterday and that area doesn't get alot of sun, but it does make it more challenging and fun. When I eventually build another truck I'll go with rear steer over dig. After this run my mate pulled out his VS4-10 and he was using dig. I could turn almost as tight with 30% overdrive only a couple inches different. Rear steer can help get the rear end exactly where you need to get grip.
what did u do to get ur rear steering link to the front? and also what did it do or how did it help converting it to the front thanks hoss rc
I had to flip the alloy mounts for the steering to the front and grind it down to suit. Moving the steering to the front of the axle I needed when lowering it down and definitely need a bent pan hard link if going the lcg route.
love the video and love the truck i just bought mine, what tires are u running the trail or competition? and what foams u running
Im running Voodoo klr tyres and crawler innovations duel stage foams with comp cut centre. Thanks for watching buddy, I hooe you enjoy yours as much as I do. Have fun
Proline ruptures. Proline trenchers and Proline chisels
Yeah im a fan of the trenchers, probably my favourite proline crawler tyres. Thanks for watching buddy.
I’m your opinion which is a better crawler, Sendero or Ecto?
Personally I believe the ecto is the better option. Ive swapped all my suspension mods off the sendero to the ecto and the ecto is next level, the extra wheel length helps and I love the trail link set-up ecto has. Thanks for watching buddy.
@@hossrc420 Pretty much what I’ve gathered. Now I have an excuse to get another rig. 😎
I definitely recommend it 👌, it's definitely one of my favourite crawlers and worth every cent.
It's always a nice change to run through gates as they force you to take lines you might normally avoid. Here's my Ecto running a course I set out on the weekend th-cam.com/video/RSJ_IS__n7s/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for watching buddy. Yes it definitely makes it more challenging, that last one I might have to move the gate to somewhere else, its almost impossible to get that climb without knocking a cone lol
@@hossrc420 I might just have clipped a few on my run even though it was me who laid out the course :-)
Its how we learn. Im running a lcg set-up on mine and will climb over 62 degrees
I've been thinking of converting mine to an in front drag link to mostly protect the servo horn because of the SOA conversion I did.
There are servo guards available, not sure how effective it would be on the SOA setup but would have to be better then nothing. Thanks for watching buddy
👍👍😁😁
Thanks for watching buddy, im glad you enjoy my content
Great video man
Thanks buddy. I'm glad you're enjoying my content. Have fun
What did you do to your suspension that crows great and the area is beautiful.
I fitted some pen springs, element enduro springs 1.75psi, and 80wt shock keys oil buddy. Thanks for watching.
