    You could paint your exterior walls and windowsilss a copper brown colour, the same as in the stones behind you. And your woordwork a soft beige.

    Well, I must be rare because I absolutely love the turquoise. It's part of the charm. However, if you must paint the color, sage would definitely go beautifully with natures setting. Looking so good you two.

    Look at the tones in the stone and bring one of them out, there are shades of brown and burnt umber in there to see once the dust is washed off. Good luck !

    Please NEVER use a ELWP without a harness as a retired senior engineer who had the responsibility to train and examine personnel to opertate elevated work platforms. These platforms can throw you out of the basket just by driving over uneven ground the whiplash effect to the basket is frightening, please be careful don't chance ignoring risk assesments. Hi, the cottage looks so much better without the pink/turquoise 😊 always good to see progress, all that sand its like being at the beach 😅 the wall in the bedroom does look amazing so definitely a keeper who cares about the bed just buy a round one and put it in the middle! Can't wait to see more x oh nearly forgot I think cream colour and a powder blue for cills.

  • @SueHoppe-vk9gl
    @SueHoppe-vk9gl 6 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    You can have the best of both choices. Greys are cool, but can look cold, so you could go for a grayish paint that has warm tones in it. Looking at the stones of the wall behind your heads as you discussed this, there are some lovely warm but subtle greenish and terracotta tones, which would tie in with the house and surroundings,. You could go for a neutral off-white with warmish grey-green tones on the walls and picks up a darker green grey for the trim.

    I agree with your daughter. A sage or heather green with maybe a light cream trim. This is what I was picturing before you said with she was voting for. The sills however would look great as nautral stone with a stone protectant like Osmo for stone. Great water shedding product.

    • @offgridirishhomestead
      @offgridirishhomestead 6 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Would love a natural stone. If the cills were degraded, we would be looking at natural stone as replacements. However, as they are in good condition, it would be an extreme choice to rip them out and replace. Have used Osmo wood products a lot in the past, we think they are great too!

    I think either Team Kayvan: gray/black/ white or cream combo or Team Girls: sage green/creamy white/darker green combo could be beautiful. I love the idea of taking a photo, then trying the different team's color combos, playing around with where you might want to use the darker color vs. the creamy color. Good quality paint isn't cheap, so seeing it on a photo would really help you choose what appeals to your senses the best. Have fun making your choice. I so look forward to what you share each week! You’ll have no problem reaching 50K, especially as you start making noticeable progress on the cottage each week! Watching from USA Pacific Northwest! 🇺🇲

    Living in Ireland now you will have noticed traditional cottages are usually white washed and the trims a red / green Natural stone cottages trims are usually any colour of the rainbow!
