Me and my brother took the GoPro out to test the 4k video. This trail goes through the old Bankhead Parkway and up into Logan Point. It had rained a lot the day before and was very humid/hot. Another storm rolled in just as we were leaving. The snake in the video is an eastern rat snake (99% sure) I wasn't sure exactly what it was at the time, but I was sure that it wasn't venomous. The only time I've been in Limrock was during TAG15, and we stayed in the stream. Until watching this video, I didn't know it had such an extensive upper level.👍

    You went through all of those slabs just to go right back, missed some of the best parts of the cave if you just followed it back a half mile or so mt Olympus and the pillar of fire

    Are those crayfish the Shelta cave Crayfish (Orconectes sheltae) the crtitically endangered ones found only there? Or a different species?

    • @MikeShaw93
      @MikeShaw93 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not 100% sure but I believe they were the ones that are endemic to the cave, yes. Could be wrong though

    Nice trip guys. Tumbling has good and bad. I still have memories and scares. Most climbers fall on the decent.. Take care guy. Still a lotta stuff to find. I wonder about all the many new caves we found and pushed. Or just how much of known caves is still virgin..I can't say on here but There are a few I an sure will go. Good Caving Guys Be Safe.

    First person perspective, love it! Love seeing the frog swim, showing the water droplets. Don't risk getting stuck. An Indian arrow, I giggled, I wish too. I had palpitations when you aimed the camera at the deep water while on the edge, LOVED it, a few more seconds would be scary! Really enjoyed the visuals, I could feel the ooze, awesome.

    23 minutes of "nope" that reaffirmed my conviction to stay indoors at all times. Liked how the crayfish were colorless, because there probably isn't really a point to pigmentation when you're in absolute darkness.
