Good advice.
A great analogy on going down the river. Thanks.

Welcome back and new sub from Winter Haven,Fl. I never thought that bees could live and survive up there.
Welcome back from Monroe
Well said Sir.
Last resort…You will be sued for sure. I purchased concealed weapon insurance. $200/yr. Money well spent. I suggest everyone look into it.
@@hawgleyferguson9832 me too. Best decision.
Good points and very true. Thank you
Great video. Various subjects and not just about tobacco blends. The bee subject was very interesting. I had never thought about the bees up north.
@@patrickkainer5725 thanks Patrick. It's definitely a challenge.
I used to open carry, I no longer do so because of the political environment in the state I live in (Oregon). But, when I did open carry, there was a reason for it. I believe that the public should get used to seeing guns. I want to normalize it. Carrying a gun should be ignored, just like carrying your wallet and cell.
@lacie5522 this I believe.
not for scaring, only for injecting
The tamper/pick set you sent to Paladin was awesome !
@brianquilty687 thanks man. 😁
That app sounds like a GREAT idea.
Great points! I definitely agree on the open carry too!
85lbs sounds like a lot. Did you make any mead with it?
@@jbafternoonpiper404 yup! 5 gallons simmering as we speak.
Wassail!
Kudos Doug for recreating the firefighter app. Hope your bees are well.
@@OscarSanchez-317 thanks man!
I have question, what do feed the bees during the winter? I want to look into bee keep too. I live in the thumb area of Michigan. We live in sub but are ringed by farmland. I started looking into it a couple of years ago about a study of the decline in bees. It was a state study and forecasted the disappearance in native bee populations.
@roakey1506 as the weather gets cooler I the fall, you make sure they have plenty of honey, and then supplement that with sugar or fondant on top. Then you seal it up and leave it alone. I'll check mine quickly around February on a warmer day, but that's about it till spring.
@@themichiganpiper6987 thanks for the information.
@roakey1506 anytime!
Is that Hard Water like Hard Cider? 😂😂😂 Fire Service App sounds cool. Hope the 🐝 make it through the cold.
@Stillypapabear 🤣 Thanks buddy!
Agree…well said 👍😀
Great talk Doug. I agree completely
Liquid cherry flavor on cherry flavored tobacco should be and sounds very good.
Very well said.... Thank you
@subaquagene608 thank you!
Good advice Doug.
@brianquilty687 thanks Brian.
Great stuff!
@2ampipeonthepatio Thanks Onion!
As a concealed permit holder this is stuff I have often thought about. Great points and couldn't agree more.
Just caught up on your Man Talk Series. Thanks for sharing these thoughts! Keep'em comin'!
@@LifeWithAPipe thanks man. Will do!

Thanks for this. It reminds me of the "sleep on it" technique to see if a decision still seems good after a reset.

Yesterday was my 18 year anniversary at my job. We're not getting rich quick, or slowly, but we're ok:).
Nowadays everyone wants something for nothing. Most contractors (not all) have a bad reputation because they cut corners and do the least and shoddiest amount of work for the highest amount of pay. Dont be like them. Want to stand out from everyone else? DO YOUR BEST
But but but I want it now! -Veruca Salt

Work ethic is sadly not seen much these days. My opinion. I worked 37 yrs,35 on the same route, delivering mail. I’ve seen a lot of lazy, don’t give a …. workers. Mostly young folks that think the world owes them something. You have to care about doing a good job. Doing it right. No matter the job. They don’t think long term. Ok, I’m done rambling.lol. Stay warm up there. 👍😃☀️🌵
@OldUncleMike and now you're seeing part of the reason for these videos. 😉 Thanks Mike.
Been doing this for quite a long time. Excellent advice. Big purchases, especially things like cars. Test drive one day then think about it. Go home and really think about it. It takes all the social pressure away too. It helps to be upfront with private parties about that as well. Speak it over with someone you can trust too. It can be anything from a TV, a new appliance, or even a new computer keyboard (do you REALLY want the flashy lights?). Don't let sales get to you. That's difficult for me. Haha. It's more hassle than it's worth it you get something you don't love.

This series is off to a great start. You’re delivering really solid bits of wisdom in well-timed segments.
@ParsimoniousPiper thanks Ethan. Good to hear from you man.
It's a man thing too not be such a simp as to work ourselves to death for others. Being an alpha and taking care of our responsibilities are easy. Keeping life in prospective is being a man and i thank you fir bringing these things to the fray. Dont firget to mention to be leary of emotions and emotional people. Logical and faithful operations will lead to a stable, firm, solid life. 😊😊😊
Good advice Doug. I do spend time alone when needed.

Thanks Doug for another good bit of advice.

@algonquinbriar5647 you too my friend.
Hello from Traverse City, first time stumbling across channel - Matthew here. Glad to see you. 2 kids approaching 40, Peterson Irish Flake fan, new stay at home dad - summarize life advice for me in a few lines!
@@Snaggleton well past 40 my friend. Lol. Summarize life advice? Read your Bible and pray for understanding. 😉
This is a really good one. I need to follow it more often myself.
Yep!
If a person operates a lot out of emotion or lets an emotional wife operate through him, it can be dangerous, making a snap decision. I've noticed that I've missed many opportunities, not making a snap decision, so I've learned not to operate my life out of emotion or people around me that are emotional.
Great advice…I agree 👍😀
