E1m8 sounds a bit like whale & wasp by Alice In Chains
This is Iconic and one of the pillars of the world of video games
2:43 the ultraviolence of death angel?
"Doom and metal go together better than coffee and cream."
E2M9 Is The Literal Exact Same Thing As Mouth For War.
That Ultimate Challenge song from the secret Wolfenstein level٫ inspired by "YYZ" by. Rush and "Mars٫ The Bringer of War" by. Gustav Holst
Endgame music is inspired by "The Spectral Sorrows" by. Edge of Sanity
Intermission music is inspired by "Thela Hun Ginjeet" by. King Crimson
"Message for The Archvile" is inspired by "Skeletons of Society" by. Slayer
for map 23, where do you come up with "bye bye miss american pie"??? It should be called Barrels O' Fun!
"The Dave D. Taylor Blues" is inspired by "Hold Your Head Up" by Argent
"In the Dark" is inspired by "Unchain the Night" by Dokken
4:18 i’ll be honest, i kinda don’t hear this comparison nearly as much as the other one’s
"Between Levels" was obviously based on Wolfenstein 3D's "Zero Hour"
I think "The Healer Stalks" is also based on Hall & Oates' "I Can't Go for That" besides just "Samba Briza" by Athiest
"DOOM" is based on "Mask" by Bauhaus
"Countdown to Death" is inspired by "Cold" by The Cure
I played Doom 2 level hearing South of Heaven and it totally rocks
"Hiding the Secrets" is inspired by "Down in The Sewer" by The Stranglers
😂😂😂 not even close. My guy has never touched an instrument in his life.
I always thought "Nobody Told Me About I'd" was based on "Flash of The Blade" by. Iron Maiden but nope! It's actually based on Little Nemo's "La Ballade des Pendus"("The Ballad of The Hanged Men" in French)
Although that song "Sinister" is also based on James Horner's "Going After Newt" from Aliens also
Not only is “Demons from Adrian’s Pen” inspired by Devil Doll’s “Mr. Doctor” but also from Metallica’s “The Call of Ktulu” according to the wikia
Says that "Demons on The Prey" is inspired by Candlemass's "Gothic Stone"..... Uh, doesn't sound like it but that's what it says in the wikia😅
Also,"Sign of Evil" from E1M8 Phobos Anomaly and E3M4 House of Pain is inspired by King Crimson's "Starless"
I found out that "They're Coming After You" from E2M4 Deimos Lab is inspired by a mixture of Alice Cooper's "Killer"(especially when almost at the end) and James Horner's movie soundtrack for Aliens, "Going After Newt". Sounds just like the beginning but more stealthy whilst James Horner's version sounded quite dramatic
This is part of the reason that I don't really like Bobby Prince's music in Doom. The MO all along for Bobby was basically: "Pick a song, steal a riff from it, loop it for a few phrases while modulating up or down each time, then return". It's pretty formulaic, boring songwriting. Metal bands really look down on having their riffs stolen by other bands and rightly so, I don't see why it should be thought of differently here. Compare it with Lee Jackson's songs on the Duke 3D and ROTT soundtracks where Bobby and Lee both share credits. Bobby's songs follow his formula while Lee's have so much more dynamics and variety. Many of his songs have clear swells, crescendos and diminuendos. ROTT's soundtrack is awesome and goes all over the place.
E2M1 is pure Master of Puppets
This video is a classic of TH-cam. It blew my mind away when I first saw how blatent some of the songs are.
E1m1 is clearly the opening to "hooked" by DRI
Read the description
0:29 Achava que a At Doom's Gate fosse inspirada na Master of Puppets...acho ela mais parecida ainda com a Master hehehe
The This Love did it fore me
Quake II's soundtrack also has many similarities: Operation Overlord - Heirate mich (Rammstein) Rage - People of the Sun (Rage Against the Machine) March of the Stroggs - I'm Broken (Pantera) Underworld - Rammstein (guess who) Big Gun - Junkhead (Alice in Chains) Descent into Cerberon - Loco (Coal Chamber) Gravity Well - Becoming (Pantera) Counter Attack - Little Horn (Marilyn Manson) Crashed Up Again - Bleed the Freak (Alice in Chains) Adrenaline Junkie - Know (System of a Down) ETF - Enter Sandman (Metallica) Pressure Point - A Hole In The Wall (KMFDM)
Anyone else think E1M1 is actually the second riff in master of puppets?
Thank you. I needed to remember which song resembles "the healer stalks". And thank you for leading me to Atheist. 🙏
Why does everyone think that 1st song on Doom is Metallica's "No Remorse"? You can obviously tell that its Master of Puppets...
Uh no
Huh, I thought E1M1 was inspired by Hooked by D.R.I
It says so in the description
@@МаксимБирюков-э3э I should really start reading those
1985-1995 is ridiculous for how many masterpiece albums were released
fuckk those south of heaven drums🙂↕️🙂↔️
Layne Staley is the only voice listened in this video ❤️🩹
Is not "Big Gun" but "Master Of Puppets" :D
The metadeta from the beta track for I Sawed the Demons directly credits AC/DC.
How do you hear the master of puppets riff and you’re like “yeah that’s ac/dc”
The metadeta directly credits AC/DC.
First one is master of puppets not no remorse, I don’t get how this guy put no remorse that clip sounds nothing like that song, even the one that he put as AC/DC just also sounds like master of puppets too
Doom & Doom 2 were such love letters to great metal & hard rock
Honestly "Behind the Crooked Cross" (the original" just sounds like a slow version of At Dooms Gate to me
I hear eye of the beholder on into Sandy's city
This video is how i got into Alice in Chains
Gotta love me some of that S.O.D.
Why do you use the megadeth font
No 1 is also Sodom - Christ Passion
