Do you make one like this for kids? I have a 6 year old and sometimes we love to match 😊
I'm currently working through the old tutorial 😅
Thank you so much! This was very helpful. Best wishes❤
Glad it was helpful!💜💜
How tf are u so smooth
Hi! I love your work and I’m so grateful you posted this tutorial, it will be my first wearable! I have a question about the yarn size/weight. It doesn’t say the number on the packaging of my yarn, but it says a 5mm hook would work for it. So if I only have 200g of yarn but a bigger hook size is recommended rather than 3mm, will it be enough to create the baby doll top (you said you needed around 270g)? Thanks so much!
Hi! I’m so glad you like my design💜 I don’t think that will be enough yarn unfortunately
I've been waiting for this! Happy New Year Gaia! Here's to 2025! 🤗🤗🎆🎆🥂🥂
Happy new year Veronica!!🥳💜💜 will try to get this tutorial out asap🫶
Can I still use a 6mm hook?🫠
@@marrieabba3607 yes but I’d use a much thicker yarn
HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!!
HAPPY 2025!!💜
Please make a tutorial for this beautiful vest. I love it 🥰
@@lindasimon4651 tutorial is on my channel!
Wait… your shirt looks like the mock neck brown top you made and it’s so cuteee❤❤❤
Hehe thank you!!🫶
❤❤❤
Hello, I have just finished making my own version of your top so check it out. I did mention your name in it on my tiktok and insta aswell ❤❤
Yes I saw! Loved it💜🥰
Kinda love the first one ❤
Wow it's cute 🥰
I’m so glad you like it!! 🤍
I wish I could crochet just like you 😢
You can!! I recommend starting with beginner friendly tutorials, you can find some on my channel💜
Hi I would really like to make this, but it would be my first big project, all i ever did before was a headband. I was thinking of adding a second thread of mohair and crocheting with both at the same time. Do you think it would be too difficult for a beginner?
Hi! I think it’s definitely do-able for a beginner since I only really use one stitch throughout the project. But please make sure your tension is loose!! If it’s too tight you will encounter issues
Your so very welcome Gaia! 🤗🤗 I had a REALLY tough year. I'm hoping and praying that God will get us through it all. God bless! And Happy New Year! 🙏🙏🤗🤗
You’ve been so kind to me Veronica🥹🫶 I hope crocheting has helped you have a little fun this year❤️❤️ wishing for the best year ahead🥳
@@GrannyGaia Thank you so much Gaia! I've had lots of fun crocheting this year! Hopefully I'll start my own business soon. I'm still just a kid though (15), so it might take awhile. Happy New Year! 🤗🤗🤗
I absolutely love this, l have been searching for this for so long! Can I use double knit yarn for this? I have 4 ply DK yarn.
I’m so glad you love it! Yes, you can use that yarn. Make sure to use the corresponding hook size 🫶
Thank you for responding! Any idea if DK yarn loses its shape being stretched due to wearing? I fear yarn losing its shape a lot, any tips for that? Please do share
Can you use fluffy yarn?
You can, however it may become stiff
Patternnnn I love it 💕
Tutorial is on my TH-cam channel🫶🫶
@ oh cool! I’m def gonna check it out
@H.h-J1 Thank you❤️
Hello! I'm loving the pattern so far, I just wanted to ask if there's a way to make the bottom part with less ruffles?
Thank you! You can make less increases in the first round of v increase stitches of the bottom part
This is awesome! How would I make this into a long dress? 😍😍😍
Thank you! You can just make the beginning chain long enough to your desired dress length🫶
@GrannyGaia Nice! And what would I do to make any adjustments to bust and waist measurements since I would be making a dress? I'm also going to use 4ply yarn or Aran😊
@@tabithathewholistic Since the slip stitch blo is very stretchy, you can just follow the same instructions as the top version and the stitches will stretch according to your measurements!
@@GrannyGaia Okay awesome! Simple and easy 😍
Will this have holes
You can use a smaller hook to make less gaps
Just finished my first babydoll top! Thank you very much!! This is the easiest tutorial i finished without getting confused🫶🏼
I hope you have fun wearing it! ✨💜
Hey Can you tell me what your measurements are because we are the same size and I need help🙏 Thank you in advance
@@tikunasulkhanishvili there’s a link to the measurements of my panels in the description 🫶
@GrannyGaia Thank you so much❤️ you are the kindest
Hi! Thanks so much for the detailed tutorial!! Did you ever try blocking this pattern? I’m wondering if that messed with the tightness of the babydoll top part?
@@marayella6145 thank you!! I only steam blocked my front tie cardigan. All my other designs have not been blocked
How were all the stitches on beat to the song 😭
I play fast music when I crochet so I can be faster
Can we use 3 mm loop
Do you mean a 3mm hook?
That's just a double crochet
Is there any part where the back of the top is shown? 💗
@inmz. you can look through my TH-cam shorts or community posts, I’ve posted what the back looks like on there🫶
@GrannyGaia thank youu 🎀
Nice I can only do a single stich
Stick with it! Months ago a granny square was my mortal enemy, now I’m finishing yet another little cow, one of many little friends Ive made for myself and my human friends lol learning any new skill is not easy to learn, remember you’ll never get worse at something you do over and over and over again!
Is it okay to use milk cotton yarn 5ply for this?
I wouldn't recommend it if you're planning to wear it in warm weather, it will be too warm. It may also make the fabric too stiff and not flowy, but you can block it to give it some drape!
@GrannyGaia how about 06 sport weight yarn? ( Belle Basic Cotton ) i really want to make this top as my first wearable project but I'm struggling what yarn should I use I'm from Philippines btw
@@elishaescobia7478(2) same question 🥺
Never crocheted before in my life. I know they tell you to start with small simple projects but i have no motivation to do that. i have decided to start with this and if it turns out good I’ll gift it to my friend for her birthday. She’s an amazing friend and i have just one year left with her before we both move to different colleges which might as well be on opposite ends of the country. Even if it doesn’t turn out as pretty as yours, I’ll still give it to her. i was looking for this exact cardigan pattern and i’m so glad you posted this. i hope she likes it.
You got this!💪💜 you can always ask me for help, I’m happy to guide you. You can even send me pictures of your issues on Instagram! I think your friend will love it either way❤️
aww thank you so much💛 i dont have instagram though :( do you have a discord acc?
DC two rows at once is faster.
Hey Gaia 🥰 you used 100% cotton yarn, right? I’m asking myself whether the vest will get loose by wearing it, because cotton isn’t elastic. I’d like the vest to remain the same shape and size when I wear it. How did you experience it? Maybe it would be better by using wool (e.g. merino, alpaca)? Thanks for your help :)
Hi! The cotton I used doesn’t have any stretch so it has kept its shape very well. Since we use buttons, it will stretch out less overtime. Hope this helps💜
But it will leave a so big holes 😢
you can use a smaller size hook so the gaps are smaller!
My 45th row is only 10 inch
Everyone has different tension, causing the size of our stitches to be different. So I recommend going off of your own measurements instead! Keep trying it on and make rows until it fits your desired length
How would you make it with a much higher neckline? 💗💗
You can try adding additional rows to the neckline at the end
Hi! what’s the color of the yarn you used? I love it!
Thanks!❤️ the colour code is 4-58 wine red
Looks like possibly the sleeve of a sweater done in double crochet. I find half double to be faster, but you're so smooth with it. Impressive ❤
It is probably treble
@@ila.vdepends, the U.S. term ia double crochet, the british equivilant is a treble because the british double crochet is a U.S. Single crochet.
@@midados4516 thanks for the info. I use British terms, soo.
It’s actually a cardigan hehe❤️ thank you!!
A beanie?
i've done a few rows and mine isn't as stretchy as yours. is my tension too tight?? i tried switching to a bigger hook and i'm still having the same issue
Your tension might be too tight, try holding your yarn looser and not pulling at it too tightly. You can refer to the timestamp "slip stitch tips" I hope this helps ❤️
Treble isnt a us term the us term is triple crochet
no they also use treble in the us
Absolutely adorable!
Thank you!!
A cardigan? P.S. Love the color! 🤗🤗
You're right! Thanks Veronica❤️❤️
A sweater????❤❤❤❤
i like your cardigan so much
btw my cardigan all ready done
I'm so glad you like it❤️ I hope you had fun making it!
Tnx for the pattern
I hope you love making it❤️
