That is an old school technique of making the clips tighten in the harness that way the truck does not randomly die in the middle of the road.
Isn’t that somewhat risky with the valve train right there?

Hoping this fixes mine! Bought it with quoted “high oil pressure and fuel in the oil” so I’ve changed all the seals on the tandem pump and going to check oil pressure 🤞🏼 if not then I guess injector seals!

@@bbb129oil pressure seems ok, I guess I need to drive it and see if the oil level rises 🤷🏻♂️ not sure how else to check if it’s still got an issue 🤔

@@bbb129 When I took the pump off the car I could turn it well by hand, but after putting the seals on, the same thing happened to me, I couldn't turn it by hand, it was too tight. do you know why this happened?

great video, i have some big problems with the 3 Friking torxs inside... they broke.
Hmm, I’ve drilled a hole in center before and hammered a torx bit into the hole to remove. Try that?
@@bbb129 i will do a hole and use the extractor tool i think.. but it's in my work 😡.. tomorrow i will have no choice but to take the bus 😂
@@matisms yeah I’ve not used an extractor in a long time, should work. I always had great luck with a slightly undersized hole and hammering a torx in as the impact loosens it up, you got this! The bus will make you appreciate the car! If needs be I can sell you a spare pump I have!

I just had to rebuild mine. It was leaking fuel all over the coolant hose that goes back to the EGR cooler and caused it to split open while I was on a road trip

yeah backend kicked right, then left, then I high sided pretty good. all was fine tho rode a little more but it was not nearly as pleasant as it looked!
