I watched this when it aired. I watched Jared Dines "Musician Mansion" with my son and it reminded me of this show. So I looked it up on TH-cam hoping to find the episodes and here we are. This was such a fun show to watch back in 2004. Bringing back all the memories watching it again but with my son this time. I still have my Mantis and A Dozen Furies CD's. 🤘🏽🔥

Looking at this now, it's weird how 90% of these bands were playing in Nü-Metal, when that genre was already fucking dead in 2004. The rest of these bands sound like they would've been right at home on Equal Vision Records, Trustkill Records, or Victory Records.
It wasn't dead yet, I think My Chemical Romance had not released the Helena video at the time yet. Emo killed nu metal overnight.
@@rockboy360 Emo had absolutely nothing to do with it. Nü-metal ran it's course, and the music industry started signing and promoting 3rd wave metalcore bands instead.
@@WildmanWidle666 yeah, but metalcore never got as much mainstream recognition as nu metal did. Not even emo did. Metalcore may have filled its place in metal but Emo replaced it in the mainstream.
@@rockboy360 Nü-Metal was a trend being pushed by the press, and clothing companies. It was GLAM, but with downtuned guitars and rap influences.
@@rockboy360 Let's not discount "The New wave of American Metal". Killswitch, lamb of God, etc. All were massive mainstream acts for around a decade. Metalcore and emo stood head and shoulders together in mainstream music for the better part of 10 years.
