You can't legally buy land in Indonesia as a foreign....
The Law of Indonesia regarding property for foreigners.. Foreigners cannot buy land, but they can buy house/ apartment above the land with status the righ to use. It is not allowed to rent out the house...but use the house/ apartment for living only. Max 30 years, extension for 20 years, & renewal for 30 years = total 80 years. After 80 years they can start over again...for the next 80 years.. (30 + 20 + 30). South East Asia has similar law & regulation....

By paying your mortgage every month, you create equity. The longer you do ut, the more wealth you create. Besides, if you buy the right property, you can expect to resell at a higher price in the future and benefit from capital appreciation. @@matthieuober The basis of my hypotheses: foreign money - due to low interest rates -have driven the realestate / housing prices through the roof. China: 1. The #1 realestate investment firm has gone tits up due to defaulting on its USD loans earlier this year; 2. Currently bank runs are taking place, but there is no cash; 3. There is a shortage of local currency - the goverment is ordering to dump USD for local currency to be solvent; 4. Half of the country is without power so there are production issues; 5. Realestate market has collapsed; 6. People are defaulting on their loans. US: 1. FED is raising interest rates to battle inflation; 2. People are defaulting on their loans; 3. Housing prices have gone down and will continue to (see Zillow massive lay-offs); 4. Retail investors on the stock market have re-finaced their homes to invest, but stock prices are tumbling; 5. Unemoyment number are rising with the week; 6. Massive lay-offs are to come. Europe: 1. ECB has Bern raising interest rates; 2. Housing prices are dropping towards 15-20%; 3. Energy prices are so high that the social middle class hardly cant afford it; 4. If we have a cold winter, Europe will run out of energy by the end of January; 5. If point 4 would be the case, supplychain issues are iminent. UK: 1. Bond yields 4,5% have been dumped by investors due to the inflation rate of 10%; 2. The GBP has taken a major hit (FOREX); 3. UK gov now is borrowing money from Its central bank to buy back its own bond; 4. Central bank is now printing money to do so; 5. Printing money = more inflation. Russia: 1. Moving money is difficult due to embargos; 2. Are missing income due to the energy dependency of Europe. Example Australia: 1. Housing prices are dropping due to defaulting on mortage payments caused by flexible interest rates; 2. Dependency of China is very high; 3. Supplychain issues in China will make life more expensive. Due to lack of influx of new money, housing prices accross the globe wil go down and will stay down for a long time. The world, during the pandemic has gotten addicted to free money (printing money / QE), but that is in the past now. Borrowing against low rates will take place after 4 years from now (I hope). You’ve bought your home via an local investment firm, I assume - the comissions wil also impact the % of your ROI. Hope this make sense. The best of luck, my dude.

I think Sumba seems to be heading towards Bali 2.0. The Jakarta government is developing the necessary infrastructure there. I was personally not that much convinced about Lombok when I stayed there, many empty hotels. The religion is different from Bali and Sumba, without any offence. Anyway, I hope you got your “ownership” (rather “lease”) deed right, and thanks for the video.

I hope viewers searching on TH-cam about Hong Kong property coming into this video will have critical thinking skills. The person making this is a real estate agent. The property he’s showing here he is representing. He’s telling you you don’t need to be rich to buy in HK. That a 5.8 million price for that size of a flat is a great deal. Implying it’s a great deal to buy in HK. Why pay rent when when you can buy at 90% mortgage ratio? Well Hong Kong is among most expensive in the world and actual residents are living in cramped housing and cannot afford buying due to suitable inventory. It’s a systemic and historical problem. 5.8 million for that shoebox? And this is considered a good investment? For one of the most dysfunctional housing markets in the entire world? Spend that 10% on other normal countries property and you’ll get a way better return.
