Nice coverage of a neglected IMHO market segment. Definitely subscribed. Top speed info is much appreciated. Some micro top out at 25 mph. Two heads up. Price and availability would be a plus. Charging options should be discussed. Here in the USA 35% of households don’t have a garage or dRiveway for home charging. Obviously less likely to drop $60k or more for a car but carbon zero means we need options for all drivers. For example. I don’t have a driveway or garage and the EVgo charging station near me is DC fast charge only. So swapping removable batteries is a great option. Thanks.

I really like the industry's intent to keep weight down. I can fold up my '23 Apollo Phantom & put it into the back seat of my Subaru with very little effort & it fits with both doors closed. I've got my eye on other brands/models, but I don't subscribe to the fastest on the block approach. They're making scooters massive, far too heavy to be portable. They use the cringe-words "game changer" & "innovation", but all they're doing is making them bigger & all that results in is deleted teenagers. Even big, heavy, stable scooters are extremely dangerous at 100km/h. What's going to result in suffocating regulations in this mode of PEV transpo, is that these scooters are too big for sidewalks (where a scooterist might have been able to ride in a slow crawl), too fast for bicycle lanes (which is kind of where they're unofficially accepted) & too unregulated to be in a vehicle lane. The way we as scooterists can ensure we're welcome in bicycle lanes & even large sidewalks or paths - is to keep the speed difference as low as possible. Some reviewers find it totally acceptable to silently scoot past pedestrians (with kids in prams, with leashed dogs, etc) at 40mph +, sometimes only a few inches away. I've always had my fangs out for bicyclists in general. I've found them to be self-righteous & vocal, as though their lane is somehow sacred. You know, busybodies. But they do now have a point. They're in a separate lane from pedestrians & vehicles BECAUSE of the difference in speed. Some bicycles have electric assist now, and we see the difference in speed increasing. I've had my scooter going 68kmh (42mph) on an empty road, and I knew bicycle lanes are not where that should be done. A 200lb man on an 85lb scooter with a 15lb backpack. I find it safest at intersections to join vehicle traffic, then I rejoin bicycle traffic once on a straight road. In lots of places, scooterists are so rare & the regulations are still misunderstood - that a scooterist can take a road, bicycle lane or sidewalk without facing fines. If we overtake pedestrian/cyclist traffic with only a slightly faster speed (a quiet bell warning, maybe 'pardon me', a thank you even?), people won't be screaming at their city councilors about these "mosquitoes of the roads'. But we know where it's heading - some sociopath with a scooter that's way too fast, riding way too fast, ends up impressing a lawmaker with just how dangerous these things can be, and BOOM. You've got plates, registration, insurance, speed limits - and cops are NOT gonna be arsed with just giving you a warning. To tie up this rant, another thing: Stop buying cheap Chinese scooters that are just an assortment of parts bolted together due to their sourcing parts cheaply. Order a reputable brand. Every time there's some PEV responsible for an apartment building or subway car fire, it's from one of those cheap, knock-off scooters or e-bikes (or mistreated, damaged batteries from good ones) that immolate. Battery fires are NOT easy to extinguish. End rant.

... I would of liked to say the Pure scooter but having just fully charged my sons up today and followed the instructions etc on Boxing day after he recieved it yesterday for a Christmas present both the front headlight and front light strip along the handlebars DON'T WORK!!!!!!
