I’m definitely more drawn to lyrics, esp because Taylor is a lyricist who also sings. But it’s interesting watching from this perspective, which isn’t focusing on the meaning of the song at all, just how it’s filmed. Something new to learn.

This kind of stuff always makes me feel like I know anything about film, lighting and camera set up (I don't) 😅 Not sure if there's any mv of Harry's that I really didn't like (although I did think Daylight was slightly odd), but I can recommend stuff like As It Was, Golden, Treat People With Kindness, Late Night Talking, Sign of the Times, ... In case you haven't seen those yet :) My personal favorite is still Adore You (extended version). It's practically a short film in itself 😊

The scene of her on the ariel hoop in the big rib cage is actually almost entirety practical. There was leaked behind the scenes footage and the rib cage and trees are real but the giant skull and gray toned background were added afterwards to give it that sureeal look

Great reaction from a professional, I really enjoyed hearing your perspective on this. Maybe you’d like to watch the lyric video of this song, there’s so much happening on screen that if you don’t know the lyrics, it can be hard to listen to them. The scarf was hers (as the first lines tell us) and she left it at his sister’s house, and knows he still has it years later. She tells us he keeps it because it “smells like innocence” and reminds him of her. The scarf is also a metaphor, for something else she lost to him.

She has a song and music video that is heavily inspired by alice in wonderland, the song is "Mad Hatter" from her album "Cry Baby"

She also has a full film directed by her and starred by herself, it's a musical one with her album k-12, she also danced, wrote the script, acted, and did so many other things for her film, her latest album is said to have separate music videos from a movie film for "Portals"

Oh, as for the blue tones - bright turquoise blue is the official color of 1989. So it’s a very blue-tone heavy album. Red is, surprise, red! But the All Too Well (10 Min TV) is kind of it’s own era, and that’s dominated by the cool tones of “his” story and the warm tones of hers. Midnights is a sparkly navy (so why you saw a lot of blue hues). Just as a quick guide, her first album is mint green, Fearless is sparkling gold, Speak Now is plum, Reputation is Black, Lover is Pink, folklore is a hazy grey, and evermore is cream with the same blue undertone as the grey to folklore. Hope that helps for future Easter eggs!

Nope, this is before Taylor started directing her own videos. 😊 That’s starts in 2019, with Lover (although she codirected a few prior). This was directed by Kevin Newman. It’s a bit famous for being such a short Swift shoot - just four days in LA (good call!). But I agree she had the vision/idea for the MV; at this point in her career she was calling directors and sharing the vision and seeing if they’d be interested in the idea paired with the song. Now that you’ve seen this, you need to watch Out of the Woods, and then Look What You Made Me Do. Out of the Woods could be seen as a sequel to this, and Look What You Made Me Do is very much… burying the old for the new. Kind of, uh, literally. There are, pardon, style (heh) elements that are consistent between all three videos, especially the first two. And I think that’s a layer of synchronicity you’ll appreciate as a video person.

You should probably go back and listen to the lyrics while she's at the party by herself and when the guy (Jake Gyllenhaal) comes to meet her parents and he's talking and impressing her Dad and how mad/disappointed her Dad was when Jake didn't show up for her 21st birthday. All of it is important to understand her perspective at that time and how he led her on and then changed his mind and devastated her.

OK I left my disk live got tired of watching this Fubar video. you talked to her about the music video paying no attention to the importance of the lyrics you don't even know what the song's about do you? The song Black Swan by BTS was not inspired by the movie. it was inspired by the quote "a dancer dies twice the first time when he quits dancing this death is the most painful". This song is about the members of BTS fearing they will someday lose their enthusiasm and love for their art. Chopped up the music video eliminating important parts but bring more meaning to the lyrics of the song. What the hell is the opening sequence for big hit entertainment now known as HYBE corporation you're not supposed to cut that off of the music video that's another dislike.

I remember most of the 90's boy bands and I don't think you can really compare Black Swan to what was going on back then or the level of dancing most of the K-Pop bands perform.

if you do anymore BTS reactions you will soon learn that they are really not K-pop, If you heard any of Suga (AgustD) He is a rapper and loves his hip-hop. BUT i am thinking you would like their vids of the making of the videos. They explain a lot of this. Most reactors make the mistake of making this as their first reaction. (You did miss the meaning of the song, as you were expecting typical light hearted K-pop)

First time I watched this I was stunned by its beauty and ambition. You expect the quality of performance. The reference to the Martha Graham quote about a dancer having two deaths. The lyrics had RM all over it. They are obviously talking about the fear of losing your inspiration and passion for their music. We should never be surprised about of BTS cinematography given how many in the group are interested in art or photography.
