Wakefield Seaside School 1938 - 2011
Wakefield 'Seaside' School It was opened on May 2nd 1938, by Wakefield Mayor, Tom Crowe.
It was an official Wakefield secondary school where children could spend three weeks on residential visits between April and October each year.
Sadly, it closed in 2011 after it became unviable due to costs.

Purston Church School 1861 - Featherstone

This is Purston Church School (mixed). Build in 1861 and demolished in 1981 120 years after it was built. It became St Thomas Middle school for a while in the 70's before it returned to being known as Purston First School a few years before it was demolished in 81.
