Honestly we decided to start playing Catan with a group of 4 people and it was good fun for the first 10 games. But it really starts to annoy me now since with 4 players its always the case that at least 2 players clash pretty soon and then a 3rd player has to take sides and basically decides who wins of the 2 players that clash on the field due to trading either of them the missing resource to make a road block or place a settlement and block the other player out of a good part of the map. Thats one aspect of the game where i really think this is better played with people who you dont know. Its unfortunately unavoidable that a 3rd player decides who gets a massive advantage out of 2 players clashing in a very early stage of the game. The player who gets the short end in that descision now needs a ton of luck to even be able to activly take part in the game after that.

I got into the game when I was younger, only recently found out the game still exists. I still have my old dice, and decided I'm going to get back into it.

Mate in vast majority of games you become stronger as you play. That doesn't make all of them engine builders. Blood Rage, which I absolutely love, isn't a controversial choice, is simply irrelevant to the title of your video. It's an area control game with several other elements. It's not categorised as a card drafting game, even though the card drafting element is more present than an engine building element. Leaving my comment in a friendly manner, it would be wise though to try to avoid misleading potential new comers to our hobby. cheers

I came into board gaming right as he was leaving the tower. I never really liked his reviews but I actually agreed with his tastes. Seeing this made me really see him for the person he is and I thank you for that. Also his take on Pandemic being sci-fi is 100% right even though your brain doesn’t go there. Unfortunately since it has now been real life most people will overlook it as sci-fi.

Nice, but $200 plus for these. I love the game and I am a completist and try to upgrade all my games, but the price to upgrade everything is outside of my comfort zone. On a side note I wanted to get the red and blue coins, but I heard the color comes off so I passed on those too. Anyway maybe one day I can find the mechs on offer-up for about $75… they are nice though!

Es verdad lo que dice, es cierto, pero es lo que hay, jajaja, solamente lo he jugado en reglas para principiantes (lo mas simple y facil de comprender para los nuevos) y con 6 autos en pista, la duración es de mas menos 2 hrs. mi comentario es en español y pasará desapercibido jajaja

Sorry you didn't have a fun time. This is a lot more fun with the advanced rules. It is long and there is a run away leader problem, but I find trying to plan the turns fun and the advanced rules wear system exciting with a crowded track. Like many older games, it takes some work to make them work for a modern audience and it's easy to pick a setup that is long and boring. Rallyman GT might be more for you. Pretty short, has the risk, planning, and blocking. Only drawback is the speed system makes little sense in the real world since it's better to go up and down to go further.

Very good explanation of the game, I love board games with space themes, and when I saw the cover I thought it was a good game that was worth it, but seeing it perfectly I was completely disappointed, the only good thing I saw were the boards of each character. Hey, by the way, what a nice shirt you have on 👌

I love this game and have all the old tracks, except 2 also I have replaced the plastic cars with metal ones that range from muscle cars Aston Martin , over a hundred in total and over 40 tracks so it doesn’t get boring in my house

I got all four sets of metal mechs and the bases and they look amazing! However, storing them is where the problems start….Although the metal mechs DO fit in the original plastic compartments from the base game/expansions, you kinda have to push them in there, which is NOT a good feeling with these mechs. Even though they are metal, they are pretty fragile(I broke one of the Antennas off one of the mechs just from trying to remove them from their case). Also, they DONT fit in the original compartments IF they still have the silicon bases on, so you have to remove the bases every time you put them away, which is annoying, and takes longer then just playing with the regular mechs 😖 The solution I found is to just to store the mechs in the empty metal mech boxes(without the felt storage). However, I have to be careful to keep these boxes upright. In conclusion, I think these mechs look great, but I wish they had good storage for all four sets
