    Kentland, making tomorrow better by not flipping a fire truck today. That should be the correct headline.

    This outfit represents the biggest collection of ego driven self important jack offs in the American fire service. Mostly all bums with no real jobs or scab paid guys from area departments like DC. These guys I think are all queer for each other. Sure enough they have no girlfriends or wives and if they do the chicks are likely cheating with cops or firefighters who do not fondle themselves. These clowns have embarrassed the American fire service a few to many times with their hero bullshit. Just look at the walls in their weight room and surrounding area. I have NEVER in my life seen a firehouse look like that anywhere in the US or overseas. Even south of our border they have more respect for themselves and their houses.

    Get your terminology straight. Just because someone is a career firefighter in NO way automatically makes them a professional. A professional is someone who is trained in a profession. Nothing is based on pay status.

    • @pvtpyle40able
      @pvtpyle40able 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scott Hershey definition of professional: engaged in a specified activity as one's main paid occupation rather than as a pastime. Hence they are volunteers, not professionals. They even have "Volunteers" plastered on the side of their vehicles as opposed to "Professionals".

    • @DeputyChief63
      @DeputyChief63 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      and they would still run circles around your ass too I am sure......gotta love paid pukes. Plenty of professional volunteers out there

    • @pvtpyle40able
      @pvtpyle40able 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scott Hershey There is no such thing as a professional volunteer, you are either a professional or a volunteer. If it isn't your profession, then you aren't a professional. English must be difficult for you to comprehend.

    • @DeputyChief63
      @DeputyChief63 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Typical paid puke answer and attitude. I've seen it many times, I get a paycheck now so that automatically makes me better than you. You probably wouldn't last an hour in PG anyway, waste of my time, bye

    So with all the money they are saving by having volunteers instead of professionals, they should have the funds to buy fitness equipment. Oh, that's right, they had to purchase a new engine because they burnt up their old one.

    • @WillyBillyBoy24
      @WillyBillyBoy24 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Several things, firefighters take care of their equipment and I am willing to be they weren't happy they lost the engine. Accidents like the one that lost 33 and 28 engine are the reason why we buy insurance for the rigs. It's not our goal to drive into the fire.... Also, just because a company/ department is volunteer, doesn't mean they have more money to spend because they aren't paying people. We have volunteers because municipalities DON'T HAVE the money or need to pay for career firefighters. In order to have a fire department, you need fire apparatuses. What good would they be if they bought a whole new gym and not an engine? Last, you cannot compare the terms volunteer and professional. Things to compare instead: Volunteer and career. Professional and not professional.

    • @pvtpyle40able
      @pvtpyle40able 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Will Hoagland Definition of professional: engaged in a specified activity as one's main paid occupation rather than as a pastime.

    • @WillyBillyBoy24
      @WillyBillyBoy24 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      pvtpyle40able Exactly so you can have a professional volunteer firefighter or a professional career firefighter. You were correct to pick the adjective definition, as in firefighter "volunteer" and "career" are nouns.

    • @pvtpyle40able
      @pvtpyle40able 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Will Hoagland Apparently you missed the part about "one's main PAID occupation". Volunteers by their very nature are not paid, and as such cannot be considered professionals. I like to fish on the weekends, and I am pretty damn good at landing quality bass, but that doesn't make me a professional fisherman.

    • @WillyBillyBoy24
      @WillyBillyBoy24 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      pvtpyle40able Okay then we will use the other adjectice definition for the volunteer aspect. "Related to or connected with a profesion". And we'll use the noun "a person competent or skilled in a particular activity". I'm a volunteer going for my firefighter 1. By definition I can be a professional and I'm a volunteer. Anyways, the definition of professional isn't the argument here. They got a free gym from a gym company. They lost an engine due to chance of getting caught windward of a bad fire. Insurance should cover most of it. Plus they are a department, which means they more than likely have municipality funding budgeted in. Losing an engine is rare but happens. It sucks. That doesn't mean you have to shit on a department because they got a free gym that they will probably take full advantage of.
