Its actually easier than most people think, just keep hand as back as long as possible until your fron leg comes to ground and keep that leg as a block so all force from your run goes to the javelin. I myself throw only 55m but i just started training.

Throwing a javelin is involving difficult specific technique! ...I'm an octathlete and I throw 56m :)
