@@Metro4253 Pretty easy. The last digit means what generation the gearbox is. In this case, this bus uses the 6HP-502 gearbox, the 2 means its the 2nd generation. 1st gen: 1980-2002 2nd gen: 1997-2008 4th gen: 2006-2016 Theres 3 types of ecomat gearboxes: Gen 1 (xHP-500/590/600), Gen 2 (xHP-502/592/602 and Gen 4 (xHP-504/594/604). The “xHP” means the amount of gears a bus has wheither its 4, 5 or 6. Thats what, for example “6HP” means. Working out how many gears a bus has isnt too easy, but the easiest way is to ride a bus on a highway or freeway and counting how many gears is used. Hope it helps 🤙

@@Comeng401M Ah ok that does make more sense. Only thing is how do you know what generation transmission it is? Also for say a 590 what gen would that be? I'm imagining not the 90th gen lol

So just in general more so, how would you be able to know what the transmission is like if it's a ZF5HP500 or ZF5HP502? Is there a website to look for the bus or do u ask the bus driver or something else?

@@Metro4253 590/592/594 would be for artic buses i think. Fleet lists can help you identify what year the bus is, however this may not be accurate because for example, some 2001 or 2002 buses are euro 3 buses like the Kinetic L94 222Ls. You have to know your euro emissions as well, can be hard to identify especially by sound.

@@Comeng401M the moorabbin b7s are the worst ive ever ridden on, a lot of them are bumpy as anything and movements are jolty as can be regardless of driver, the scania 320s and volvo b8s are way more comfortable to ride on

@@yeahno8969 I dont mind the Moorabbin B7s. The B8 optimuses are probably one of the worst buses ive ridden because of how dizzy I can get on board. K320s are alright tho

@@Comeng401M i understand where the diziness comes from cuz them b8s are ride has you goin all over the place without you even noticing, however theyre much more of a comfortable ride for me compared to the k320s, anytime a driver takes a corner at pace with a car i go sliding around in the seats compared to the b8s where you can positively gun it. would rather have a b8 on an audace though, those things are mint

@@Comeng401M will all the other buses, including the O405NH CR221L’s and all of the CR228L’s get refurbished into the ptv livery

@@JTRAIN Theyre both disused now. No one has seen 5001 on track for a good 7 months. As for the other one, thats long gone i believe

No. It is a rail bus, as are all of Kinetic’s CR222Ls.

@@JTRAIN ​ The fleetlists haven't updated yet but I can assure u that all the 222Ls have recently been demoted to rail as of late last week. Hopefully it gets updated shortly, as the fleet listings do not get updated immediately

@@Comeng401M oh ok. sometimes, it takes around a couple of weeks for the fleet list to update, so by the start of june, all of the CR222L's will be at the rail fleet, as Kinetic are still continuing to deliver Scania Euro 6 buses and the BYD's

No the 2005 227s also have a longer gear shifts, which the gears lockup in first. The 05-07 227s have the 5HP-502 ecomat gearbox, while the older models lock up in second gear However, some of the 04 227s do lock up in first gear

@@JTRAIN The Euro 2s would have the 4HP-500 gearbox, lockup in second (136-139, 146 and 147). The remaining ones (151-154) have the 5HP-502 gearbox that lockup in second
