Freya new fuselage - final test in home
I have build a new fuselage for Freya rc glider, without motor this time. Final test in home. Waiting for good weather for first test flights.

Test on servos mounted, with command rods, and levers for rudder and elevator. Seem to work fine.

Some flight sequences captured by the camera fixed on the tripod. Three flights... In the first one, it can be seen that the propeller continued to spin until landing, even though the engine was off. At the end, a test to see if the propeller folds when I stop the engine.

I have build a new fuselage for Introduction F5J glider with carbon tube. On my blog from rcgroups you can see more details. Materials: balsa 2mm, playwood 3mm, carbon tube 24 to 12mm (1m), balsa 50x50mm. Only 2 pieces I have used from original kit (R18/R19 and R21).

After some python & openCV programming, this video was born. CSV file from GliderKeeper, video from SQ8, made a lot of frames with openCV (cv2), an algorithm for distribution data of altitude from csv file to every frame ... Conclusion: Introduction F5J is a floater. I'm happy !

Very nice! I find my Introduction F5J somewhat struggles in bad air. It’s great in lift but in bad air it drops a wing easily. Do you have the same?

Thanks, Jean Luc. One year and 157 flights. Two fuselages broken. Third fuselage is the best, until now. In building forth and fifth fuselage :).

Very nice. I still fly my Graupner SkySurfer occasionally. I think the real parachute is the best performer especially compared to the mylar clones. I also fly a homebuild with a Paralight wing which is superb. I gave up on the Hobbyking wing; never got it to fly.

On rcparamotor.3x.ro/restringhkparaglider215m.html you can find all about restring HK paraglider 2.15m. My favourite is flypg FLEX 1.7 V3. But amazing how fine flys Sky Surfer Graupner or Paracopter Gold Rosita.

Am unul la fel, tot de la Lidl, cumparat de vreo 2 ani si nici acum n-am apucat sa il folosesc. Tin minte ca dupa ce l-am cumparat am plecat in concediu si am uitat de el, iar recent l-am gasit. Ce viteza trebuie sa aiba vantul?

Dumitru, have you ever flight the paraglider without falling of? I mean always in the air in a hill with the wind?
Not yet, because I don't have access yet to a slope site. May be in future ...
oooh dear is because i have set the paraglider and i have throw it like you buy without any wind, and it falls out with out moving a long distance forward, maybe with wind but the problem is that i cannot ask any place the wind and the heavy that the pilot has to have and the perfect AOA for soaring

Yes, this model (homemade) is very fast. Respond very well to commands.

I have read the book "Powered Paragliding Bible", and I tried to apply to RC paramodels. If I have succes with that, you can see in my over 70 video with Flex 1.7 V3 paramodel.
