What if I have afro hair as a woman but like to keep my hair short. No history of alopecia or anything just a high hairline. Would fue still be possible?

Great video (from 3 years ago now, I'm well aware), Dr B...first-time viewer & am now a subscriber to your channel...I'm 51 today (the exact same day that Brad Pitt turns 61 & although I still do well enough at 51 & am fortunate to have a full head of hair, we're talking BRAD FREAKING PITT here, FFS!!) & although you probably can't tell from my bio' photo/avatar on here, I've always been dark blonde (actually, probably just a touch lighter than what I imagine Brad's natural colour would be - I've a British father & a Swedish/Welsh mother) that's now turning a shade of 'Clooney grey' that I actually really like & always had very thick hair re: HEAPS of the stuff but each strand is quite fine... Anyway, please excuse my unintentionally verbose & more than likely narcissistic-seeming post thus far but are there any potential downsides to using minoxidil occasionally, prior to what's almost inevitable hair loss for all of us, sooner of later, simply in an attempt to try to 'thicken' my frontal hairline? Now I probably seem a right nutter as well...?! This is great information. I recently had a later brow and midrange lift. Performed endoscopically. After the swelling had gone down. I did notice a slight increase in my forehead height and my hairline moved back slightly. Mits noticeable to me and I want to correct this by doing a hair transplant to bring the hairline down.

I don't have a lot of chest or back hair, but I have a TON of leg hair. It's long too, definitely over an inch long and closer to 2 inches. There is an absolute ton of it, and you can practically comb my legs. If I could move 1/4 of that hair to the crown of my head, I would have a full head of hair! I've pretty much exhausted my donor area in my scalp, so it feels like leg hair would be the only option from here on out...

I have very thick, black and dense body hair(from chest to public area). as thick as public hair. If i transplant to my head will it grow long or it will have limited lengh. And what is survival chance? Can survival chance tested before transplant?

I have a question, why cant you use it on damp hair? I find my hair gets less greasy when i use the foam after my shower, when my hair is still damp (but not drupping wet) after leaving it wrapped in towel for 5 minutes. If i wait to apply the foam when my hair is fully dry, the hair instantly feels sticky and looks dirty. When applied damp, it doesn't. I wonder what's so bad about applying it on damp hair?

Question. Is just parting the hair 3 times and applying 3 lines of minoxidil enough to cover the scalp. I'm a male with long hair btw.

Man this video is a God send. I just recieved my first bottle of Min and used the soray fir the first time. I have a thinning hairline so after rubbing it in its made my hairline look even worse. Im definately going to try this method.

I am a man. And my doctor instructed me to use 2% minoxidil and once a day. I have a little male pattern baldness. And my main issue was damaged hair. So is it okay that i am using 2%?

When I use 1ml from the dropper it is like 30 drops for me, and I feel like there is a lot on my scalp. The Q-tip is much more comfortable, but It feels like I add much less liquid to my scalp. Can it be still enough for sure?

You dont need to use it twice a day since it has a half life of 22 hours. So just take it before sleep and then wash your hair in the morning

There is no difference between men and women’s rogaine…except the price. Women have to pay the pink tax. It’s a lot more expensive. Also, use the store brands. Again there is no difference except price. Rogaine products are more expensive than those labeled minoxidil. Both are the very same things.

Good explanation, 1 or 2 inches lenght of body hair to the scalp is better then nothing, at least suitable for short hairstyle.

Hello Doctor, What about hair from the Shoulders and upper back, I have thick hair in these areas and they grow up to the length of 5CM and last for long time 8-12 months and will stay there unless I do waxxing. I had FUE hair transplant b4 in Turkey and they exhausted my head donor areas in the sides, were they said they extracted 5500 Grafts but later on after TWO years the results were only 3000 Gravt succeeded ( according to the Doctor) and the results were some how accepted but below the original plan. Can we use shoulder and upper back areas hair?

I am researching hair whorls for my "art project", and I found that the hair whorls usually changes direction somewhere near the middle of the eyebrow, causing a natural parting. Does the natural parting for clockwise hair whorls always part on the left? Or is there some other explanation. Does that mean Clockwise Hair Whorls always part on the left, and Counter Clockwise always part on the right? (The line where it changes direction on your head) sorry, I geek out over everything.

Such a great video. I will use the Qtip method. Been on 5% once a day since 2014. Last several months more thinning on top and hairline. Derm just put me on 7% with progesterone. Used once and breakout at hairline. Allergic? How soon after workout can I apply minoxidil? Also how soon after application can I wear a hat. Thank you for your help.

This is SO helpful! With my hair type I usually only wash it once a week and the minoxidil built up so much in my hair, and felt gross. I'll start doing it with a qtip! Thank you!

Is minoxidil once a day effective for men?

The intro & loud background music for every video is a lot.. probably one big reason this channel doesn't get as much activity as it should. If you insist on an intro, maybe keep it under 5 seconds. And music is loud, unnecessary, & distracting. Just my opinion. Good content but I don't even pay attention to or watch the whole video because of those reasons
