Welcome to my channel MCT Trains. Covering trains mostly on the South Coast of the Uk and further afield when possible. Featuring freight movements, engineer trains, intermodal trains, special workings, test trains, loco moves, unit drags, rail tours and general passenger workings. I feature a main weekly upload on Friday and a Move of the week special every Monday. Also I post shorts at various times. I shoot all my footage in 4k. Class 37 Diaries Aug 2024 ft 8 Different Class 37s
Hello and welcome to MCT Trains 🚂 This is the August 2024 edition of the MCT Trains Class 37 Diaries. This month (August) I was able to see 8 different Class 37 locos. As always, this series is narrated by myself so any feedback in terms of comments is most welcome 👍
This month we have a light loco move, a UTU working as well as a couple of drags and a rail tour. One highlight of this months episode is 37218 hauling 25 brand new JNA wagons. Wow MCT what a brilliant month! Brilliant to see 37218 I must say its been done up perfectly considering 37423 sat down on its first run 😅 Will be good to see 37401 in Scotrail livery as well! My favourite! Hopefully you will come around to York for this years RHTT as well seeming as Colas are doing it and 37425 and 37610 are in the pool already!

I’ve seen this 37 before with snow ploughs it was last month sadly I was on the wrong platform it was 37405 leading with 56090
It comes up to Scotland quite often I believe 👍🏻
What are the difference between 37's and 97's?
Signal equipment on board. 97s have in cab signaling so can run on lines like the Cambrian etc 👍🏻

Brilliant video! Superb sounds of all those great locos, I really wish I could've seen the 50 leading.. the plan was to see it light but it failed so I never did, just saw it being dragged instead.... Really jealous of all the tones and thrash you got, those 37s were amazing - they more than likely would've been the highlight for me with all the tones! 😎 Amazing video as always - you've put my clips to shame! 😂

From the light locos I saw.. it was great, as I say I wish I could've seen the 50 running under its own power but sadly she failed.. something about oil pressure apparently? 37s definitely were superb, they all were but as I say the 37s seemed to be a little more thrashy and tuneful than the rest! Cool, thanks!

Glad you enjoyed it mate. I did put a lot of effort into the planning but you never know till the day what unfolds! I missed two passes due to a closed road and then delay of the 37 leg but all told it was a great day chasing it 👍🏻

Amazing video as always!! Great tones, superb thrash and lovely liveries.. I have to admit I was a little disappointed to find out that 37405 now has those weird "bugle call" horns but nonetheless I would never turn down seeing it! 😍 Great variety of locos, shame 37057 wasn't leading, she's the only 37 Colas have with the split headcode boxes now, since 099 has had them removed only the other day during an exam! 🫤 Again, amazing video - definitely a strong month as you said! 👍

Awesome video, I've still not seen any 73s on the mainline!! Anyway, interesting way of training drivers for the RHTT, but I like it.. Colas should do this too, for my enjoyment. 🤣 I can't wait for the RHTT services to start again by me.. North Wales has been boring as ever this year, with near to no freight.. so having some interesting moves guaranteed (and DAILY) will be just what the doctor ordered! 😁 Again, great video! Have you spoken to Michael at all recently, just curious as to how he's doing, not heard anything of him for a while
