The purpose of this Vlog is to demonstrate and document my angling on the various venues i fish.
I have been a course fisherman since i was a small boy but it wasn't until i moved to Cambridgeshire that i started to get the urge to go for something bigger. The illustrious and mysterious specimen carp became my quarry and it has been one long and interesting learning journey.
Unlike most types of fishing I find carp fishing can be the most complex. Rigs, bait, location, WATERCRAFT are all things that you learn over time. What i have found is that watching TH-cam Vlogs and researching blogs has helped me to understand some of the complexities of Carp Fishing and has helped me to catch fish.
All the tackle i use is mid range and relatively inexpensive. All of the venues i fish are available on a day ticket. I mostly use PCF baits and my current PB is a modest 32.6lb Common Carp.

What's it like in heavy rain
Ich habe mein Xd seit über 3 Jahren ,ich nutze es sehr sehr viel.Keine Probleme,bin sehr zufrieden. Eins stört mich ein wenig, es ist schon leider etwas verblichen.Vorher hatte ich ein T1,das war super,aber nach 2 1/2 Jahren war das T1 nicht mehr grün,sondern hellgrau. Vielleicht könnten die bekannten Hersteller da mal daran Arbeiten.Die wollen viel Geld,und ich will dafür viel Qualität 🫡

How do you like fishing with this ship? Is he reliable? Has the echo sounder tripled and does the autopilot work exactly?
Apologies for the late response. I've had it coming up to a year now and i really cant fault it. The Echo sounder is mid level but it does the job, there are more detailed videos out there showing that. The autopilot from my experience is very accurate i would say within a foot or so. A top boat for the money.

Great review mate. I've been pondering over getting an actor with gps. And have recently decided that this nd2 is an option also. But couldn't find much info on how it all works with the app purchases for auto pilot etc. Your review has cleared this all up. So thanks. The nd deeper arm is spot on. This is how I want to set up also as I already have deeper. The brackets available for the actor are no where near as good and has practice as this one by nd. And i think that's what's finally sold me on getting the nd boat instead. One question. I've always dragged the deeper at the rear. And I see you do it from front, any reason for this? Or is it just preferable for you
I have a different attachment now mate and drag it from the back also. This new arm allows the deeper to float naturally.👍
Looks good! I’ve been an angler for 20 odd yrs but only in the last year got into carp fishing, would like to know more about your range of baits if you have a website as I don’t use FB. TIY!

Taking it to France at Easter mate so we shall see. Used it in heavy weed once where it didn’t cope to well. Was really heavy weed though

Hi Lloyd, great video..... My friend and I are out in peg 17 on December 3rd 2022...can't wait now. Really interesting what you say about not spombing. We are bringing bait boats with us, ears pricked up when you started talking about how you were baiting. So many people I have spoken to are saying to spomb the crap out of it to get the fish feeding. Nice to see a completely different perspective and baiting approach. Thanks for posting the video, so much of the stuff on TH-cam now starting to get a bit old now so an up to date film was great to watch! Cheers, Kevin

Like on any rc system, turn on the handset first, then the boat. When switching off, turn off the boat first, then the handset. That way you always have control of your boat. A safety procedure derived from model aircraft. It looks a well thought out piece of kit. I have the Viper3 with ff and gps, cost twice that price, i wish id seen this at the time.
Quality piece of kit. I have had them all the ridgemonkey fox powerpack and this atom is top of the list. Like yourself we take ours camping etc took it too France for a week and 2 years later it's still going strong. 10/10 👍

I just got my bait boat 2 but it came with a smaller battery pack did you buy the bigger battery pack? I am assuming you brought the GPS via the app and you didn’t have to buy anything hardware wise
altbatteries do a larger version ND2 bait boat Lithium Battery Pack Li-ion 14.8V 14Ah / 12Ah / 10Ah

Good review. One question, does it work well in cold weather ( above +5 Celsius). Ridge monkey has significant decrease in power if temperature outside is low (litium-polimer). I'm hasitating between Atom Pro and Fox Halo 96k
I can’t fault it to be honest mate. The only thing that does bug me a bit is there is a fan kicks in. Even when it’s not that hot. I like a bit of white noise though, helps me get to sleep.😁

Not sure about a mini fridge but I tried an electric cool box and it drained fairly fast…

Hi, yes there is toilets on site and there used to be a water supply near the shop but not sure if it’s still there as they lease the shop out now. There is not much if any weed in Vermuyden that’s always an advantage. Both pop ups and bottom baits work well. Fish to reed line always produces.👍

I’ve just purchased this boat and just like to ask you know where the battery is have you got a little circuit board on show in there? Also thoughts on WiFi booster? I’m thinking about getting it but don’t know if it will work as the nd 2 boat with build in deeper has a antenna built in
Hi mate, I can’t answer your WiFi booster question as I don’t know. As for the little circuit board you mentioned yes. This is your memory card and where software updates are downloaded to. Be careful as whilst putting the battery back in I once knocked this out. It was easy to put the card back in but just be wary of it buddy.👍👍
