Portulacaria afra, is an evergreen succulent shrub or small tree originally from South Africa, where it reaches up to four meters in height. It is also known as the Elephant Bush, Jade Tree or Money Tree. The stems are reddish-brown which contrast well against the green of the foliage.
The plant will defoliate if sprayed with a petroleum based pesticide. If you find insects on your plant try washing them off with water from your garden hose to control them.

Why did you sandwich a separate peat layer between your potting media ? Wont it retain water and cause rot ?
Because peat moss is the best soil for root growth and propagation and no it would,not cause root rot bcz I used a very thin layer of peat moss around root system

Sir ye bahut logon ne bataya hai, parantu sahi rate me, aur achha cocopeat kaha mil sakta hai,koi nahi batata. Online to sabhi dustfull cocopeat dete hain.
Ap agar kafi purana slot khridenge to vo time ke sath dust hone lgta hai bettar hai ap online ki jgh kisi nursery me kharidlo or kharedne ka method agar cocopeat ka brick dark brown hai means vo new slot ka hai use hi purchase kriye
