I am a Buddhist married to a Catholic girl from Katugastota and while TH-cam streaming Sancta Maria church Program on Saturday Jan 4. 2025, the priest read from a big book of Matthew,saying “ After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” 3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. 5 “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written: 6 “‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’ 7 Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. 8 He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.” After reading from that Big book, priest began his lecture, and said that Jesus was born in a poor stable in Jerusalem!!! After having heard that, my wife was perplexed and puzzled and she said, “ Excuse me Father, you are mistaken and everybody knows that Jesus was born in Bethlehem and NOT in Jerusalem!”. For Facts: “Long time ago in Bethlehem, so holy Bible says”, “O’ Little town of Bethlehem”, and Famous Sinhala Song sung by Anil Barati “Bethlehem Puray” I am not catholic but I complied all these details as my catholic wife dictated me to do so. Secondly, the Priest mentioned about Indira Gandhi’s daughter…She had two sons Rajiv and Sanjay and NO Daughter. I am sorry for this hullabaloo and my wife says, Happy New year to everyone and God bless you.

Beautiful Memories of this beautiful Church , my mother takes us when we are Children. now I’m living in uk. But when I visit Sri Lanka Still visit santha maria. long time ago I lived in Singapore I used to go to Novena church , every Saturday novena to Mother perpetual help. now I’m doing the Novena every Saturday on live stream on TH-cam . anyone want to watch on TH-cam you can go to Novena Church Singapore .Mother Perpetual help pray for us .
