One of my friends in middle school, had this exact CD along with the green one. I ripped the both of them into my school, issued laptop prior to a malfunction of that machine and thus lost and lost contact with the dude who had the discs. I have been looking for these discs For a while and did not know who sang this song. However, after finding out it was plus one which was a band. I’m already familiar with. I’d say the fact that they change the word God to the word you was a bit overkill because really everyone says things like “thank God that went the way I intended it to” and, so the word wouldn’t be out of place. But when McDonald’s hands you a big suitcase full of clown cash and Disney has you a big suitcase full of mouse cash and once things done their way… Gosh, dang it you will do things their way. I actually like the original version as compared to this edited Down version and this is coming from an individual who is not even Christian who likes this music. Had I known the name of the band and the name of this song I would’ve had this all over our whole feed at my volunteer job. But, you have the Karen type who thinks that just because we played one of the two national Christian radio stations that we were “forcing our religion down her throat” when The reason that station was chosen is even a 90-year-old grandma would not be offended by the lyrics in those catchy tunes and the ironic thing is we had people from all faith who loved hearing that instead of the usual boring classical music on hold. Edit for a fun fact that I forgot to put in the original version of this, when I mentioned the name of the band, my fiancé instantly recognized them and actually has all three of their studio albums, including the original unmodified version of this song. So awkward how 20 years later This band and this song show back up in my life
