Why Nigeria Expelled 1 Million Ghanaians in 14 Days (Ghana Must Go!)
On 17 January 1983, Nigeria’s President Shehu Shagari issued an executive order that expelled two million undocumented West African migrants. About 1 million of them were from Ghana… These West African immigrants had been attracted to Nigeria because of the 1970s oil boom, but by 1983 the economy had weakened, and it was an election year.
The Nigerian politicians hoped the expulsion would prove popular. Across Nigeria, up to two million migrants heard the warnings of arrest, prosecution and forced deportation if they didn’t comply.
Shagari’s policy strained relationships between the two countries and it took years for mutual respect to be reinstalled

And why do Africans demand slave trade reparations from colonial countries??? Africans sold Africans for 1000s of years and still do today.

Such a stupid, senseless and biased video about a story you are not familiar with. Any jobless young African these days want to become a content creator, by putting together rubbish. You made it look and sound like Nigerians are bad people, to make your audience understand the story and not be biased as you are, you need to go abck to the genesis. Ghana deported Nigerians first. Nigerians in ghana are not up to the 2 million you mentioned, the US has the highest number of Nigerians outside Nigeria.

Your next video should be titled "Why Ghana expelled foreigners in 1969".... Ghana expelled foreigners, particularly Nigerians and other West Africans, in 1969. This action was part of the Aliens Compliance Order issued by the government of Ghana under the presidency of General Joseph Arthur Ankrah. Ankrah served as the Chairman of the National Liberation Council (NLC), which was the ruling government in Ghana after the overthrow of President Kwame Nkrumah in 1966. Nigeria retaliated in 1983.

Ghanaians has always been people with a good heart. Ghana never killed any Nigerian when we asked them to go. But Nigerians killed alot of Ghanaians. Many of them were killed because, the civilians where given the right to kill any Ghanaian they meet, and they executed that. And till today Nigerians are proud of their actions and they keep referring to that against us. You people do not know why Nigeria is what it is today, you are paying for the innocent blood u shed. We always talk about whiteman slavery and the blood they shed but we forget about our own Africans shed the blood of their own people.

Nigerians never knew Ghana was the richest in west africa before Nigeria discovered oil. So they see Ghana as a common country, because they don't read much. If not for the oil Nigeria discovery, Ghana would have been still the richest Giant of Africa was not because of the oil or because Nigerian became rich, but its actually a slogan Nigerians named themselves after just like every country has their slogan( as a braging right). The giant of africa is actually due to the population of Nigeria. Nigeria being the 14th largest country but has the most population in africa hence such slogan. They had the slog before the oil discovery. Nigerians themselves don't understand Why they are called giant of africa, they always take it out of context. Google it yourself " why Nigeria is the giant of Africa" and read it for yourself
