Boat looked good to me - but the engine is a museum piece! And what happened to Black Rose?
I sold her in Sardinia.
dude i enjoy your videos, I am a Veteran looking to fix my house a little and sell in order to do EXACTLY like you. Please post more videos... P.S. I would love to join you for a couple weeks of sailing/learning and of course having fun :)
Great stuff - thanks for the vid. Youre living my dream. Did you have any prior sailing experience before you bought the boat?
Just a Day Skipper course. I also went from Marseille to Sardinia with my instructer.
@@markseeks Thanks for replying. Probably wise to do a couple of course hey? Better off in the Caribbean or South of France though.
Good on ya. I did it a different way. Got my Captain's license and became a 1st Mate on many vessels doing deliveries from Grenada to Panama, the Bahamas, PR and USVI. Got paid and walked off the boat at the end of the delivery with not a nickel in it.
Mark, keep the adventure going. Learn as you go.. the Nicholson 32 is a fine vessel. I’m looking forward to your next post. Best
Thank you so much!
Call the coast guard because your motor broke on your (sail) boat in fine weather. Where did sailor self sufficiency go. How many countless crossings where made without engines? Many cruise full time engineless. Have some faith in your boat, and yourself, for gods sakes man. Love and fair winds
If you had just given sailing half the effort you give beard trimming, it would have been a much more enjoyable trip
There's no better way to mark the beginning of an epic adventure than to have feces explode in your face.. I take it as a very positive omen 🙏🙌💫
Determination equals inspiration, great video !!!
It's hard to hear the painful truth about sailing life , your off to a great start and thanks for sharing your story !

"Boat" is actually an acronym for Bring Over Another Thousand. But you knew that. 😄
Oh god that's true!

Murphy’s Law wins again! Reminds me of the issues I had on my first trip 55 years ago. Hang in there. Good Luck.
Welcome to my fatherland 🤍🇵🇰🤍
Sounds like a great adventure, hope u succeeded in the mission
Good video !! Well done on the editing and special effects!! I started a sailing channel about 8 months ago and I can see I have a long way to go... Its called "Ketching My 2nd Wind". I have a 1982 Island Trader 38' Ketch Rig called "Chop Sticks" 🥢
Great boat
why did you need a tow? No wind? Close to shore hazards? What about an outboard to continue the trip?
Shore hazards with dying batteries for navigation. No wind. Outboard too small :/
Nice. Albin Vega is sturdy boat. Good scandinavian (from Sweden) quality.
Fire on the boat is most terrible situation. You have no place to escape. Whou.
Fair play Mark. sound boat and looks to be in great nick. FAIR WINDS
Well wear Mark. loved the tri colour in the opening seen. any digonasis on the engine ????? on my first sail around Ireland i had to call the RNLI near Dingle for a tow in "scary shit" FAIR WINDS T.J. th-cam.com/channels/JoZrfOAbA7LZylX0l6Gkmg.htmlfeatured
That greatly produced and amazing honest! Cant wait to see what happened, why it happenend
Electrical fire
@@MarkZoloShow aha but u where speaking of pushing the engine too hard. That doesn't cause any electrical fire. So what was it? Old wireing? To big fuse? Problem with alternator???🙏

@@MartinSplinter I think the heat from engine overuse caused two wires nearby to melt together.
Nice video!
Yes you have the luck of the Irish and God looking out for you. What a great story this will be to tell. I'm sorry for your trouble's and jealous of your adventures to come. Say your prayers. Thank you
