I grew up in Macon. Not a bad place when you compare it to so many other places in the country.
Whoever bought it for 0 dollars got ripped off!!

Warner robbins sucks. Sandy springs is way better.
Macon, Georgia is a beautiful, arty town with a remarkable caring community. Our reputation for crime is a myth perpetuated by surrounding, less progressive, counties. U S Bureau of Statistics lists Warner Robins as #1 per capita for violent crime in Georgia & #12 general crime. Macon didn't make either on the Top 15 list.

Macon Georgia and Columbus Georgia are not good places to travel not safe very getto

Currently in the Air Force at WR and finding things to do around here is so difficult. It seems like there’s nothing around here other than to go eat somewhere
You have to be pretty creative! Lots of dog parks, golf courses, frisbee golf, pickleball is blowing up here and in Macon, great gyms (I don’t like the vibes at the base gyms), and there are lots of adult clubs and leagues for sports popping up left and right.
@@LivingInMiddleGeorgia Yeah I lift consistently at the base gyms but I always get old dudes staring at me so the vibes are a bit weird. A lot of retired folk here as well. Pickleball is definitely blowing up hahaha everyone plays it on base. I’ll definitely look around for some sports leagues stuff and fishing spots
@@emilio556 north of macon in jones county and putnam there are quite a few fishing spots. lake sinclair is my favorite, but there's also lake juliette, javors lucas lake, and the ocmulgee river of course. most people on the river just go yakin or tubing though
