I have been planning to make one for a long time...missing a lot of footage of assembly...was done over time...will do a video of complete rundown of everything done and what is coming hopefully in the next few months

@@4x4adventurecanada10 how does it handle on road with the additional unsprung weight? Is there a speed limit on them? Do they require the same service interval as a normal axle? Does the portal use a particular automotive hub or is it distinctly werewolf? What about the wheel bolt pattern?

@@JZX834L bolt pattern is 5 x130 because I had a good deal on Hutchison military beadlocks, so I asked for that spec. Drives ok on the road, but on highway u always need to be attentive ( wanders aroubd the road a bit!) I can get speed up to about 110 kph...never tried to go faster. A big bonus fir me is that the portals eliminate the Disco 2 bearing/hub problem.

The portal I have bolt on to the axles,the half shaft is set up above the center of the wheel...mine give between 6.5 to 7 inches higher clearance,lifting the axle and diff pumpkin. There are also gearing inside that increases torque. An added bonus for the Disco 2 is that the bearing/hub configuration is eliminated... I had Timkin bearing/hub that lasted awhile...but they are hard to find and expensive...and still wearout...if you get cheaper bearing/hub they dont last long if yo do tuff trails... You can get bolt on portals, like mine from Werewolf, or find an military truck , Volvo, Mog... and try to make them fit.. Planiing on eventually making some kind of build video that will explain this...

@@4x4adventurecanada10 Yes sir its all expensive. I've got 2 old trucks 4x4s. One is just for getting firewood or whatever but my other one, my main one, is a 94 Dodge Ram 2500 single cab and I just found out last week it came from factory with a 3 and a half inch lift. I knew it set up high for a factory truck. But I've got all the bugs out of it little by little and I'm just started on making a overland truck out of it. The only thing worry me is weight. I'm in the US Tennessee and we sure don't get no snow like yall do not even close and just got a small trailer Friday to hopefully make a overland trailer out of it if time don't run out with what's going on in the world. Just have to see!

It's a Lexxus but basically same thing as a Land Cruiser 80s series

Flexi flares 75mm with an extended rubber flare I found on Amazon. FLEXI FLARES are easy to find , try Lucky 8 in 🇺🇸 or Flatdog in the 🇬🇧 . The rock sliders were made by my friends Andrei and Igor!

I love them! No problems with them at all...yet ! Incredible what a change it made, adding portals and jumping from 33s to 37s.

Is way stronger than volvo portals(volvo use two ⚙️, werewolf use 4 ⚙️ so no chance to break down somewhere in the middle of nowhere), materials are high quality, since the begging till now ,no problem with gears or portals great product.(some small water infiltration but from breeders)have another disco portal set for sale. Hi! All the disco's are v8,from 4to 4.6l,the white use volvo portals and the green one use werewolf portals on stock axles disco 2

We use Chromoly halfshafts from ashcroft because we had that already on the truck, but werewolf allows you to use stock ones, he says is gonna hold the 37"tires with no problem

@@azikiweeanderson2629 thx. No I do not think there is a model number...each are made specifically for the vehicle depending on axles and tire size... We ordered three sets of portals...we may have one set to sell if you are interested...

@HeliRy planning to do a video discussing some of that...wasn't too difficult to bolt on, but did a lot of other mods to strengthen the disco...the portals and moving 33s to 37s added a lot of weight

There is one more question about the portals, the werewolf website only has the defender kit, did you sub-order or is the defender kit stands bolt on for disco? And have you had any problems/failures with the portals after offroad?

@darklezz we ordered directly from Max at Werewolf... he did 3 sets for us ...not sure if he will do more for Discos? U may have to communicate directly with him

@darklezz no failures yet! Completely happy with the portals
