Sharing with others how to give glory to God with the little things we do in our lives - the mundane, the exciting, everything. We want to encourage others to try new things & not be afraid to fail because you don't really know what you're doing to begin with. God gave us this life to enjoy & give Him the glory in all things!

Finishing up Stage 1 RV Shelter
มุมมอง 788หลายเดือนก่อน
We are here to finish the first part of the the building that will house our fifth Wheel. We got back in Kentucky. Joel and I found Carpenter Bees have made their way into the structure of the wood, and it’s only been up for a month! What is going on? Can we overcome these and still stay on time? Let me know what we could do to do this better. Take care and God Bless!

Much of the country deals with snakes. It's only a few areas that do not have venomous snakes. We found one and scared us like crazy! Great to be back in Kentucky on this nature hike!!
Cordless tool Rack solves A second problem - E164
มุมมอง 3783 หลายเดือนก่อน
I finished the cordless tool rack and guess what? It lead me to clean up the rest of this section of the garage. One step at a time and by nightfall, it looked completely different! It’s hard sometimes to clean up. Admitting you have a problem is one of the hardest things that you can do - but in order to have change, that is the first thing that must be recognized by the person. I don’t know i...

Pat’s Or Not with your backhoe…That is the Question - E147
In what fckng mindset did you actually think thatll work? Ive removed alot of rot from houses which had fires and i can tell you first hand bugs attack any wood. Theres only a single way to prevent them and that is to REMOVE THE ROT! or wet lumber
We did this to sheds , pole barns & barns in general as I was growing up on the farm. But we would sand it after we charred it, then lightly oil it. If you'll look closely at my profile pic you'll see the guy who burnt down two tobacco barns and a pole barn in 1989. Oops. 😂. I assure you I wasn't laughing then...and I'm not really laughing now. *wink
NO!
Would I do this? You’re supposed to do this
I even did it to the steel beams and no bugs eat the steel beams. Thanks
Yup it works
Add dynamite and you'll preserve it forever,.in smaller pieces
Hey genius you're supposed to do that before the medals on now you're ruining the finished product of the metal it's going to rust faster
DRY ROT IS LITERALLY WHEN THE MOISTURE LEAVES AND WOOD CRUMBLES CUZ HOLD TOGETHER LEFT THE WOOD. NORTHERN CLIMATE MOISTURE AND BACTERIA HAVE A PARTY AND EVERYTHING GETS DIGESTED AND GOES AWAY. ASHES TO MOLD . EVENTUALLY EVERYTHING GOES BACK TO THE SOIL. ANCIENT HISTORY SHOWS STONE STACKED PROPERLY WILL BE STANDING FOR EVER. OR AT LEAST UNTIL YOU ASK WHO KNEW TO DO THAT THAT WAY. WASN'T UNION 173 . MENNONITES HUTTORITES AMISH. PEG IT AND KEEP A ROOF ON IT AND IT WILL STILL BE THERE.
Good way to get rid of spiders too!
So much for the epoxy coating on some of that rool-press roofing.😮
Burned wood is a calling card for wood boring beetles in the woods. Just sayin.
Keeps both bugs and moisture away
Been doing that for years, on old fence post
No TH-cam, dear algorithm. Kindly piss off. Im not taking a torch to any of the wood in my camper. That would be incredibly toxic. And aid in my burning my house down
That's why I work in an oil refinery. ❤Destructive Distillation Fractionating Columns. Take upper inlet/outlet cap OFF... force air N2 bottom: talk about a rocket engine that's Upside Down.😮😊
Why ??
Great start before adding a final finish on picnic tables, coffee tables or jus about anything
I did
Burns the black on the metal too
scorch the lumber BEFORE the build......
Yep Turn it into charcoal if you need it to cook with at a later date PREPPING 101😂
In Cuba they give the wood a light spray of diesel fuel, tastes awful, and lasts for decades
Exterminator’s are loving this 👍
Treated timber
It's smells though.
My grandpa did this to dressers
You spelt would wrong 👀👀
Do it before the roof goes on go look at the paint bubbling on top of the tin😂
Looks better than the crappie raw pine look.
Just use pvc
I see chemicals ....
How does the sheetmetal look on the outerside ? Kind of a antique look ? 😁
Need a stain or oil or diesel and tranny fluid mix works well
great point.. But bugs come back..❤
or take a pair of pliers and just pinch on my little bit.
wow where I'm at Pacific Northwest we got gardener snakes. I would poo poo myself if I seen that. hurry up get it.
Yup
Yup, true, also I did that to my entire lawn. Not a bug in sight all summer long. Plus I didnt have to mow once. Works great. ;)
Chinese started 800 yrs ago.❤
Spray a little bit of oil on there or something
It's kind of a stupid idea if you think unless you just like doing that.
Even one thing coat makes it last 10 times longer. Have pain in a black or something lacquer
Or paint makes a would last longer. Painting the wood makes it last about 10 times longer. I suggest you paint it.
How do you do that to the drapes?😮
They've been doing that for centuries
You should do it before the roof is on and the wood has to be burnt beyond lightly touching it.
I would have no bugs because I would have no house after I burned it down
Yep
"Back in the day" we used lard still solid
