As Quran is given in arabic language, Imam should conduct prayer in the same language of quran otherwise meaning will get changed if translated to local language. Most of the muslims can read arabic language and few memorises quranic verses, and few understood the verses with meaning. But NOT all can understand the meaning of it. So, individual prayers can be made in their local languages at the end of the prayer conducted by Imam.
