My chicken eat their eggs any advice?
It seems your chickens lack calcium and sunlight ☀️ Perhaps give them some calcium supplements (like crushed oyster shells or egg shells - we made a video about this previously). And let them be exposed to some sunshine. Oh and make sure they have enough space for laying eggs, cause broken eggs will be eaten by the hens naturally 😅 Thanks so much for watching and have a nice day!!!
@@ClaireLeoWorld appreciated
Couped up chickens look ofell .picking each other.
Hi there! The chickens grew up together and naturally like that, without neck/back feathers 🪶 They’re called naked neck chickens 👌
Yo bro you lucky u have a peacful live with sum Animals not like in the city where u hear cars outside non-stop Peace man ❤✌️
Yo man, we were also in the city some time ago. Now we’re living in the suburbs, but we sure prefer this life. Best of luck to you bro, may your wishes come true 😎🤞
Hi What happened to the chicken neck? Looks swollen.
It’s their crop full of food. Don’t worry she’s all fine and happy with a full crop 👌👍😁
@@ClaireLeoWorld okay thank you very much, it had been my the first time seeing i never chickens could eat so much food 😂
How offended should you give your chickens them?
I think you can just leave these for them at their disposal. They will take as much as needed and you refill when it’s nearly empty 👍
@@bookworm9999 okay, I was not sure, if you should do it twice a week or what. Thanks
Yes exactly! You can leave the grit for them to eat as they please, then refill as needed. Happy raising chickens! 🐓
Grit and calcium supplement are completely different things! Yes, oyster shells may help break food down, but grit is small rocks.
You're absolutely right! Technically, grit and calcium supplements are different-grit refers to small rocks, while calcium supplements like oyster shells are for stronger eggshells. However, many people (including sellers on platforms like Amazon) use 'grit' to refer to both. Some products even combine the two. We don’t just rely on oyster shells for calcium, which is why we used 'grit' in a broader sense for easier understanding.
Never seen nor heard of doubled yoked eggs 😮😮
Thanks for watching! Doubled yoked eggs can be a fun little discovery, and we're glad we could introduce you to something new!
So they breed😅
Yeah 😆
Bro could’ve hatched a double egg 🥚
Exactly!
For the love of god people veggies will never do what properly formulated medication does. The cost of buying these ingredients is higher than just getting the meds anyways
Thank you for watching! These ingredients are available freely from our garden
These chicken seems like they saw better days 😅
They look fine, I absolutely love naked neck chickens ❤
@@dahliasnowball8783 oh, so that's a breed characteristic? Interesting 🤔
Dear all, thanks so much for watching and your love for our chickens! Yes, they are the naked neck indeed. Have a wonderful Friday!
😂😂😂😂😂I was thinking the same thing
@@katrinawiley-pe9ls Haha, now you can rest assured 😄
Porr chickens they are so plucked
I guess it is the breed called a naked neck or something. What an ugly chicken! Woke up looking like an abuse.
Those are healthy naked neck chickens. I have 2
Exactly, they are naked neck chickens. They are so ugly and cute at the same time, haha!
I thought the squash and pumpkin fibers wrap around the worms and the poop them out
Yes!!! Have a great Friday!
This won't deworm, but may have a small preventative effect.
@@ClaireLeoWorldmaybe take the video down then, because you‘re spreading wrong information?
They're correct though. Look up cucurbitacin, DOI 10.3390/ijms17091456, "Evaluation of Anthelmintic Activity and Composition of Pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L.) Seed Extracts-In Vitro and in Vivo Studies"
If this is true, then what happened to their feathers?
Haha thanks for asking! 😆 If you didn't know, this is a breed called Turken/Naked Neck. They are born without their neck/back feathers. You can check out our other videos made while brooding them. Thanks so much for watching!
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Im kinda sad u killed the snails but all for the environment i guess
Thank you for understanding! It’s always a tough choice when it comes to balancing nature (otherwise the plants will be destroyed), but we really appreciate your concern for the snails!
@@ClaireLeoWorldmy family actually eat these snails
@@Buildingerror500 really?! We didn't try it. How does it taste?
@@ClaireLeoWorld idk I actually don't eat snails only my family does
Bro i think im a duck, because other than the shrimp that tomato and cooked wheat looked really good
Haha, looks like you have a refined duck palate! 🦆🍅 Who knew ducks and humans could share the same taste in snacks? 😂 (actually we ate these, too haha)
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers! 👋
Hello suguru
Hi there 😁
I did not know ducks can shed their old fethers😮😮
Thank you for watching! We're glad you learned something new about ducks. They really are amazing creatures!
Yo satoru its been a while
Hopefully non of the wood was treated.
Yeah, for sure! We only use untreated wood to keep the hens safe (they made these from their own forest). Wouldn’t want any chemicals around them. Thanks for looking out!
Remember doing this as a teenager , but had to remember not to get red wood chips as it made hens sneeze
Great point! Thanks for sharing that tip! We’ve heard red wood chips can cause issues like sneezing, so we make sure to stick to natural ones for the hens. It’s amazing how much little details like that matter, especially for their health!
Thanks so much for watching! Do you have any other tips to keep your chicken yard clean and fresh? Please share them with us in the comments below! 👇
Hail Hilder😭😂
Haha! Hilder would be proud! 😂🙌 Just making sure the chickens are living their best life!
Now we’re curious too-who’s Hilder? 😄 Sounds like someone we should know!
Wouldn't this motivate them to eat their own eggs?
Good question! 🧐 Luckily, grit like this helps with calcium for the shells of their own eggs, not appetite for them. As long as they’re well-fed and happy, those eggs are safe (from them, at least)! 🐔🥚😄
@@ClaireLeoWorld now that I think about it, they probably aren't even aware it's their eggs 😂
Probably yes 😂
Just genuinely curious, do you use the shells as their everyday chicken feed? Or do you give them regular feed and the shells as a side food?
Great question! I just make the grit available at all times for them to eat whenever they feel like it. 🐔 It’s more of a supplement alongside their regular feed, so they can pick it up as they need! 😊
Bad content
Thanks for watching!
Question Would they form an appetite for the egg shells and hence, eat their children’s eggshells?
We haven't seen that with our chickens. They're quite smart actually. If the egg is intact, they are super protective. If the egg is broken by any means, then all the hens will come and eat all the broken eggshells and all its content 😂 It's in their nature we suppose 🤔
when our neighbors saw it I caught it and I trimed it's wings
Yes! 🙌 That way our cuties will be safe with us 😍
Infinity food glitch
Haha, if only! But yeah, keeping them stocked up on grit keeps everything running smooth. 😄
😮

She's so sweet!
Yes! She was so gentle when we picked her up. However, she would start screaming and run away immediately the moment we released her haha! 😆
Thank you ❤❤
Thank you so much for watching our video! Have a wonderful day!!!
This is how domestication begins; first comes the rescue. Then the animal feels safe and happy with you, then leaves for a bit. She'll come back, lay her eggs in your garden, and voila; you are a Grandpappy now~
Thank you so much for your kind words and the beautiful scenario!!! She's actually doing very well and we will post a video about her soon! You seem to have welcomed some mallards before? Have a wonderful day!
👍👍👍
❤❤❤
Ok…you have to make her a pond…
