It seems your chickens lack calcium and sunlight ☀️ Perhaps give them some calcium supplements (like crushed oyster shells or egg shells - we made a video about this previously). And let them be exposed to some sunshine. Yeah, for sure! We only use untreated wood to keep the hens safe (they made these from their own forest). Wouldn’t want any chemicals around them. Thanks for looking out!

Good question! 🧐 Luckily, grit like this helps with calcium for the shells of their own eggs, not appetite for them. As long as they’re well-fed and happy, those eggs are safe (from them, at least)! 🐔🥚😄

Great question! I just make the grit available at all times for them to eat whenever they feel like it. 🐔 It’s more of a supplement alongside their regular feed, so they can pick it up as they need! 😊

We haven't seen that with our chickens. They're quite smart actually. If the egg is intact, they are super protective. If the egg is broken by any means, then all the hens will come and eat all the broken eggshells and all its content 😂 It's in their nature we suppose 🤔
