Even though I probably had read this before, until you mentioned it, I never noticed this - (Zechariah 4:10) "For *who hath despised the day of small things* ? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth."

My church is also currently teaching on this passage, so this is kind of like an extra helping of gravy. Many thanks for sharing this.

Rev 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. Many people associate this verse with Rome. There is another city of interest which was founded by Constantine. It was Constantinople (Istanbul) which was referred to as New Rome and was also built on 7 hills. Rev 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. Constantinople was defeated by the Ottoman Empire in 1453 marking the official end of the Roman Empire. There were 5 empires prior to Rome with it being number 6. Five empires fell before Rome #6 which then was defeated by #7 the Ottoman Empire. Rev 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. The beast that was (before Rome), and is not (during Rome), he is the 8th and is of the 7. This qualifies a revived Ottoman Empire as one of the 7 therefore a possibility of being the 8th. This also disqualifies Rome as a possibility since the beast "is not" while #6 (Rome) is in power. Rev 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. This verse also argues against Rome since the 10 kings were not in power while Rome was. The 4th kingdom has 10 kings as part of it therefore has not existed yet. Dan 2:36 This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king. Dan 2:37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. Dan 2:38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. Dan 2:39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. Daniel gives Nebuch the interpretation to his dream. Nebuch was #1, Media Persia #2, & Greek #3. The 4th has the 10 toes/kings when it arrives. Dan 8:20 The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. Dan 8:21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. Dan 8:22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power. Dan 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. Here we see Greece #3 conquering Media Persia #2. Then notice that the Greek Empire is broken into 4 divisions. This is what happened to Alexader's Greek Empire after his death. The 4 divisions battled it out leaving the Northern king as the victor. That northern division was known as Asia Minor or basically the middle east of today. The Ottoman Empire controlled this area during its reign. In the latter time of this kingdom (Asia Minor/Ottoman Empire) the AC rises. Rev 2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; Rev 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. Pergamos was located in what we know as modern day Turkey. Turkey is what remains of the Ottoman Empire. If it were to revive the Ottoman Empire that could be viewed as recovering from a deadly head wound. I have a theory that Satan chose a geographic headquarters similar to God choosing Jerusalem. Pergamos was located in the old Babylon Empire. The Mystery Babylonian religion was practiced in Pergamos when Babylon fell. The next Empire rolls into the geographic area and begins to be influenced by the ancient mystery religions of the area. So each consecutive empire that ruled the area basically inherited the ancient gods of the area. The successive empires just change the names of the gods but worship the same entities of Babylon. That would explain how the final Mystery Babylon was responsible for the blood of prophets and saints. Istanbul (city on 7 hills) could possibly be the city. Eze 38:2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, Meshech and Tubal were located in the ancient Turkey region just under the Black Sea. Search for "Meshech" at Wiki and zoom in on the Black sea region. You can see Meshech/Thubal/Gog Magog in that area. I see the Gog battle as the same battle as Armageddon so that would place Gog as a world leader from Turkey. A solid case for Turkey can be biblically made as a possible contender for Mystery Babylon. Peace, PTT

But the Church wanting an easy way out, decided to make It's own doctrine to believe they would be gone before any Tribulation! What would be the result if Messiah told the Father that he was going to leave before any Tribulation starts? Think He would be doing the Father's will? Yet the Church thinks it is better than the Master, as not to have to go thru any Tribulation, which is completely NOT SCRIPTURAL!

I'm still waiting for the rapture to happen in 1988 (as in the 88 Reasons book of 1987). Of course we don't know when it will happen. We are only responsible to recognize the times and seasons, not exact years, months, or days. I hope I am in the 3rd type. We can't manipulate God and force Jesus to return sooner by promoting or allowing evil. When people say that kind of nonsense, they need to better understand the whole of Scripture.

The "Treasure Principle" by Randy Alcom helped my giving reason why getting $105k in two months is just evident of God's blessings on my household. God never faltered on his written and spoken promises over my household.

That was one of the best if not the best explanations of the Parable of the Talents that I remember hearing in my 66 yrs of being on this planet! I also went and voted. I also live just a couple of houses up from a polling site in a little town in a rural area, so it's easily in walking distance and thus, that would invalidate any excuse I might have not to vote except events making it physically impossible to do so such as sickness, hospitalization, death, etc. I can't remember offhand missing an election since buying my house here 12 yrs ago. I thank the Lord for putting his man in so that we have a little more of that precious time to do the great commission and witness to others as we are commanded to do. I myself have been praying for God to glorify Himself with the miracle of making me a very effective soul winner. In my case, it would be a remarkable miracle for me as my slow, choppy and nasal speech, plus my being on the ASD spectrum making it very difficult to effectively communicate orally has left me abandoned and socially isolated most of my life. Back in the 70's an independent Baptist church tried to make a soul winner out of me and I tried valiantly to become one. However, my challenges back then of my speech, communication and emotional issues spinning off of my then unknown neurological condition (wasn't diagnosed with it until my late 50's), plus my social isolation up to that point caused problems with me wording it wrong, freezing (selective muteness) and other issues that sabotaged my attempts at street evangelism and our combined (church's and my) efforts to make me one. The resulting friendly fire I got from the church of criticism, being judged as "having no faith", "living in sin" and/or under Satan's influence, being ignored, shunned, etc. were some of the reasons I eventually in despair fled that church, fled God and backslid for a while. (I'll own the backsliding, running from God and my other sins as I can only rightfully blame myself for those). However, having issues that had left me isolated, not knowing the ropes in how to relate to others properly or as I see it, an analogy of a computer having neither the hardware nor the software to print a document and my socially being in a similar state. To this day, I stubbornly try to socialize, but am at best a "social bull in a china shop" I apologize for anything I might have commented before that might have been inappropriate as it would have been both unknowing and unintentional. I thank the Lord for giving me my two late wives (those marrriages were remarkable miracles themselves knowing my condition) as my social liaisons to plug me into churches and other things I needed help with in the social arena. Anyhow, please pray for me on these matters as another prayer request is as per John 4:35, The fields are white unto harvest, please send more workers into your fields. Send me!" Thanks! Maranatha!

Mmmn, doesn't have teenagers, nor kids with neurodiverse issues. I can only relate to his stories when my daughter was young, we raised her like that, and she has an extremely strong will now as a teen, extreme sense of justice/injustice which results in some obedience, some rebellion. We have a young son we are trying to raise the same way, and it's simply not possible due to his issues. It's hard to relate to his perfect family
