The Book of Genesis is so captivating that I’ve decided to study it extensively from chapter 12 onward. I needed to understand why Abraham didn’t stay in Canaan when God promised him the land. Thank you for this information as I study to put it all together.

0:32 The question was how long ? The wicked rarely answer such inquiries
Adam was certainty not 1st man. Scripture means what it says & says what it means. So when Jesus said from the beginning of the creation God made them male & female’ also.. ‘he which made them at the beginning made them male & female’.. Gen1:1 Mk10:6 Matt19:4 Mk13:19 Heb1:10 This act which Jesus referred was: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male & female created he them & God blessed them’, & God said to them, “Be fruitful, & multiply, & Replenish the EARTH, & subdue it: & have dominion over the fish of the sea, & over the fowl of the air, & over every living thing that moves upon the EARTH & God said, Behold, I have given you EVERY. ( Yes here it says every read all inclusive ) herb yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, & EVERY tree, ( Yes here it says every read all inclusive) In the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food.” Gen1:27-29 But when God made Adam & placed him in GARDEN God was very specific ; And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good & evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. & the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. & out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, & every fowl of the air; & brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: & whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. Gen2:16-19 Adam was specifically told v2:17 not eat of Tree knowledge of good & evil. Gen1 & Gen2 are separate accounts. Time betwixt these 2events remains unspecified.. A GREAT error comes when one equates Gen1&Gen2 for they are very different events Jesus was clear, For He did not say from time of Garden He made Adam & Eve. But rather Jesus said: from the beginning of the creation God made them male & female’ also.. ‘he which made them at the "beginning" made them male & female Not Adam & Eve, not from dust, not from the time of garden. Jesus meant what was said & said what he meant, Adam, Eve,& garden were not in the creation... scripture means what is said and says what it means Man in Gen1 was made From nothing Ex-Nehlio... Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Yet Adam in Gen2 was formed from dust of ground & Eve was formed from Adam's rib... thus Adam & Eve of Gen2 are not made Ex-nehlio, from nothing, as were the man & woman in the beginning. Man & Woman of Gen1 were given dominion over all earth that was watered by a mist neither did Gen1 have dietary restriction as given Adam & Eve in a garden watered by 4 rivers. Gen1 & Gen2 are completely different events, scripture does not err. Jesus drew a line into the sands of time at Luke 16:16 The law & the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, & every man presseth into it. There were 4kYrs of sin prior to John. "Behold the Lamb slain from foundation of this world." When was this present sinful world founded? but in the day of ADAM'S sin. For then Adam&Eve were clothed in skin of slain lamb & a redeemer promised. there remain 3k years from Jesus death.. John 2:19 Jesus answered & said unto them, Destroy this temple, & in three days I will raise it up. The final event is specified. Rev21:22-23 & I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty & the Lamb are the temple of it. & the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, & the Lamb is the light thereof. Time between Gen1&Gen2 is Unspecified but finite. To equate Gen1&Gen2 as same events leads to great confusion There are many many facts to prove earth age is in excess of 6000Y BP, wiki article earth age completly refutes young earth psudoscience... and wiki cites just the most blatant proofs, available
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV, Jesus Christ is the only way.......
My heart is stirred! "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Romans 10:17
Listening from Nairobi, Kenya
One Gospel: Gospel of Reconciliation. Jesus Christ came into THEIR kingdom to reconcile fallen angels unto Himself. We are the fallen angels (ELOHIM) kept in DNA chains of darkness. If you do not confess being a fallen angel in Lucifer's kingdom, then you are an unbeliever. Unbeliever = those that claim to be made in the image of God (ELOHIM).
Genesis 1 is Lucifer and the fallen angels. They made man in their image. Man is an idol, a trap for angels. Unbeliever = those that claim to be made in the image of God.
When Jesus comes back we will be resurrected from death... its your breath that goes to God. Not you. Humans are not immortal, the bible is very clear about the state of the dead. Even Jesus had to resurrect, when he was dead he never went to heaven. Moses was resurrected before he went to heaven... the bible says we sleep and wait for the day of the Lord. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel and with the trump of God, and all the dead in Christ shall rise first.
Romans 1:27 "And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." God addresses why He destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah not only in the Old Testament but also in the New Testament, affirming that transgressing His law that we are not to engage in same sex relations because it is an abomination. If we go against God's Word than we openly tell Him that He is no longer right and true, thus rejecting Him and His teaching and making God a liar. Once men/women do that and give themselves over to this abomination, God than rejects them and gives them over to a reprobate mind...thus, those who commit this sin are also willingly to commit more grievous sins along with that which wax worse and worse. So yes, Sodom & Gomorrah were destroyed for all the sins that they committed BUT because they committed the abomination that God first said not to do (like a domino effect). To excuse one sin as grievous as same sex relation and to just destroy for the other sins makes no sense as God is forgiving in all those...but not the case where this can lead to people becoming reprobate in God's eyes. Why is this important to understand? Because "being given over to a reprobate mind" is literally a death sentence being separated from God, forever in hell. Why do we need to preach this (that same sex relation is an abomination)? Because it is loving in God's eyes. How so? Because He loves us all, but how can He love everyone if they knowingly put themselves in opposition to God's law thus damning themselves to death forever (hell). It is loving of God to tell us to take heed in what we do in our lives freely because what can become of it can lead to eternal death or it can lead to eternal life in Heaven with Him. Anyone can use fancy language to tip toe around God's Word, but as a follower of Christ, it is a Christian's job to read it so they can decern what is being taught from a pulpit whether it be true or not, whether it be watered down or not, whether the man is qualified or not, whether the teaching is novice or not, and whether the man is a wolf or not. Its time Christian's stop being Biblically illiterate and actually read it. Revelations 21:27 "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life."

Genesis 1:1, 27-31. What part of the story of the Bible most captivates you? With whom can you share it? On Genesis 1, I think back to Christmas Eve 1968 when the crew of Apollo 8 read this from space. And here is hoping that everyone reading this had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year.
So true.
Yes amen
Thank you for sharing. The Apostle Peter has loomed large in my thinking for so long. How Lord do we stand where Peter failed ? The Lord revealed to me, crucify yourself and follow me. It's the great I Am that stands in me for myself is crucified. Dear Lord that I stay crucified everyday. At this revelation I wept and wept. Knowing I don't need to trust myself. That I crucify self and totally trust Christ.

I bind every form of trust in extortion and robbery in my life, the lives of my family, friends, acquintances, neighbours, colleagues, opponents and the body of Christ, while binding every unequal yoke and common share with those trusting in extortion and robbery, in accordance with psalm 62:10, 2 corinthians 6:14-15, matthew 6:24, 1 john 3:10 and this whole message, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

Excellent intro to 1 Peter. Boy do we need this. Gods word exposed/explained in context. It’s always relevant, pertinent at any time but especially for today.
This should be sung in the open public spaces, 10 feet apart !
Awesome! Loved this. Thank you for your teaching Pastor Matt.
Wonderful!! Jesus breathed into the disciples the Holy Spirit as the LORD God breathed into Adam

How appropriate and comforting v. 2 is after our recent earthquake and aftershocks that, frankly, have been a bit unnerving. Many thanks, Pastor Caleb, for choice of Psalm 62 for our memorization and for in depth explanation.
Amen
