Dan Clarke Off The Clock
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 11 ม.ค. 2009
I own Dan's Diesel Performance Inc. in Machesney Park, Illinois. Aside from all that I do in the company this channel will be geared towards mostly what I do outside of the company. For starters my dad and I farm around 300 acres of corn, soybeans, and hay. We also raise beef cattle and sheep. The crop side of the operation is what I enjoy the most. Planting, harvest, tillage, property management, and machinery repairs/maintenance. When I'm not farming I love cooking and smoking meats. I have a lot of recipes and techniques that result in some amazing food. Lastly, I have a passion for guns. Whether it's target shooting or reviewing new firearms on the market I will be sharing my experiences with the guns I have in my growing collection.
Last Corn Field For 2021
Today we started our last field of corn for 2021. I also took some time to do a singulation study in order to have comparison data for next year.

At 0:11 at the farm or RV court ?
yea this video says it’s always the tcm yet when your product doesn’t fix the issue and you call you get a guy that tells you oh it’s typically in the harness. thanks for a misleading video.
I’m gonna guess you didn’t do proper diagnosis to confirm TCM was bad before you ordered. The odds of it not being the TCM are very low, but the odds of it being the TCM are not 100%.
Good 👍 job my guy
Excellent my friend
Reminds me of getting my 6600 ready not too many years ago when my son was a little guy. He's 16 now, no way 😳 that he can sit 🤣 on the seat in front of me. Folding down both armrests makes a little more room, but he basically told me to get the hell out so that he can concentrate on running the machine! He's such a good 👍 👏 boy, er, I mean, young man!😊
Wow redneck's find extraordinary ways to waste fuel. How do you become so entertained by incredibly stupid things
It looked like your rear axle had some sort of stabilizer on it. Is that a purchased kit or a Dan special? My machine could use something like that.
Your right ! It is a stabilizer. I just removed that same thing from my combine. Its there because the bushings in the power steering are worn out or not installed properly . Not easy to keep the machine on the road when thats the case ! I replaced the bushings and tightened everything up. Now I can go full speed down the road. Before.....maybe 4 miles per hour !
Keep the combine vids coming! I'd like to see how you set up your concaves and sieves for various crops
I noticed you didn't adjust your feeder house clearance. Do you just run it on the corn side even during beans? Do you have filler plates on the cylinder or just run without them with no problems?
I have a 2013 Chevy 2500HD Duramax. A few years ago I had the Allison 1000 replaced with a Allison 2000. Recently, I have had having these same issues and looking to replace the TCM (24266710). Will this TCM work with the Allison 2000 series transmission?
The TCM will work in your truck. However the 2000 series has different gear ratios that would have to be programmed into the TCM calibration for it to work properly. That is assuming the transmission is running all the 2000 series internals.
@@dansdieselp Okay, thank you. It should have all the 2000 internals. At least that what I was told. Can you program it or will I have to program it somewhere else?
@@matthewpeedin1181 Yes I can. I would need to know that info when the order is placed. Best to call and order.
I have an 09 3500 that started shuttering in low take off gears worsens when pulling a traylor. Could it be transmission?
Got your TCM and installed and still have the issue
Sounds like the problem wasn’t diagnosed properly.
Im buying a truck, scanner says no communication with tcm, and i believe its stuck in 3rd, could that really be the issue? The guy says that's all it needs
Im receiving the same code problems for my 2014 Chevy impala LTZ....I also get a hard loud thump when I first start.....Does my vehicle have this same device?
This part number is only used on the trucks. Cars have a different module. I recommend consulting your nearest dealership.
That feeder house chain drive is still used on the newest Deere and is a pain to keep tight. I helped my friend this past fall and his S680 had to be tightened about every day or two. Is it a problem on your 6620? I think they should have a spring loaded belt drive there myself. It's what my R52 has and it never is a problem. I don't think it would be hard to change to a belt drive.
Replace all the bushings at once and make sure the sieves are in mid stroke when you install and tighten the bushings or you will have more trouble and you will break up the sieves and sieve frames. My R52 needs new bushings this winter too. I'm more familiar with Gleaners but years ago I worked on some older John Deere combines. One thing I do that helps to simplify adjusting the sieves and gives more capacity is run the bottom sieve wide open and do all your cleaning with the top chaffer only. Some guys remove the bottom sieve completely but I think Deere depends on having the bottom sieve installed for balance reasons where a Gleaner does not. I also have the front 6 or 8 rows of the chaffer on another adjusting lever and run that front section nearly wide open.
I prefer a cob where the husk opens up. It gives me drier corn which helps me a lot because I don't have a grain drier. I like to harvest, if possible, at 15% to 18%. When I compare the shelling loss of drier corn vs the drying cost of 20% or wetter corn I find I'm better off with a little shelling loss. Last time I harvested 20%-21% corn it cost me 32 cents a bushel. This year our local elevators were desperate for corn and charged half or normal drying costs...... but I didn't have corn this year at all.
Real nice. Good job.
Thank you.
He's getting big man time is flying buy
Yeah he's growing so fast.
It's been a while Mr. Dan... that little guy has gotten a bit bigger since the last time I saw him @ the shop. Hope the shop is doing well, along with your crew.
Bottom Line Up Front: replace this part immediately if you still have the stock TCM. If not, you’ll wish you had when that failure eventually happens at a super inconvenient time. Saw this video almost a year ago and thought to myself, “I wonder if I should just go ahead and replace this rather than being stuck?” I should’ve listened to that instinct. Been away from home and my family for six weeks for training and finally get to go home. Got started on my 10 hour ride from Newport, RI, to Norfolk, VA, and about two hours in the failure happens. My only saving grace is that I chose a route to go around NYC. I was able to find a grocery store parking lot to park in a decent area of CT and stay the night. Hotel is one mile down the road and I’m having to overnight the part so I can get back on the road tomorrow…hopefully. Don’t wait like I did. Now I’m one day delayed from seeing my wife and kids and down $1000 for hotel and overnighting the part.
Hello i have a 2008 chevy 3500 duramax. It was running great until one morning it decided to stay in 1st gear and in reverse. I went online and read some forums, so i went ahead and bought a used TCM well bammmm! Installed and it fixed my problem..... 2 weeks later i was an ahour away from home and my truck started doing the same thing... staying in 1st and reverse only. My question do you guys thing if i buy a tcm from you guys it will fixed my issue or is it going to be something else???? Thanks
Will this tcm work on a 06 Allison trans? I just got it an when it heats up it don't shift reverse starts acting up also. So just wondering if this is what I need an if the one you are talking about will work. Thanks Mike
We sell them for 2001-2016 trucks.
@@dansdieselpYesterday, my LBZ threw a bundle of codes at startup, including the U0101, and the truck stalled out, so I deleted the codes via my Bullydog tuner. After deleting the codes, the truck started up as normal, and I drove trouble-free for 3 hrs, and I made it home. Today, I started the truck several times and cannot duplicate the U0101 & code bundle experience. I am, however, happy that if my TCM goes wonky on me again, I have a source from which to buy! @Dan Clarke “Dan’s Diesel Performance Inc.” Very cool -thanks!
I just replaced my tcm at the dealer last week, well last night and today I replaced the pitman arm, idler arm, and both tie rods, i got everything back together and went to start the truck and it doesnt want to start, codes im getting are C0899-03 U100-7F and U101-7F right battery has 12.4 V and left battery is showing 11.7V also my ECM relay keeps clicking on and off. idk what its doing.
Do you still sell these? Aug 2021?
Yes. dansdieselperformance.com/c-1389936-shop-by-part-transmission-tcm.html
Just bought 1 next day air. I'll be Patiently waiting next to my mailbox tomorrow with a case of beer.
Dan thank you I ordered on the second he delivered it on the fourth and my trucks never shifted as good as it does now I took a little bit to get it the memory like driving stop and start and then I forgot about backing up but man does it work good
I need one tcm. Where can I contact you?
Just had my TCM go out on me this week. I ordered one from Dan and had it within a day. Had my truck shifting better than ever. 100% the way to go.
These guys are top notch! Ordered my new tcm yesterday before 3 and it arrived today before 10am. Easy install and worked like a dream. Thanks Dan and all involved!
I’ll need one in Canada. For my 09 dmax
Thank you Tyler! My TCM arrived in less than 24 hrs and worked exactly as described. The transmission operates flawlessly. Fantastic service.
How much a cost? For a 2015 GMC denali duramax
what is the website because i need one asap
Hi! I have a 2007 F650 Tow Truck 5 9 Cummins with an Allison Transmission. It will not upshift and put itself into lag mode. The prior owner replaced the TCM 3 times in the few years he owned it. Do you have a TCM that will fit my truck?
Hey Dan great info was wondering if you had one of those tcm for a 07 GMC Yukon Denali
Poor guy could only afford a single cab.
Race trok
Could only afford those twin turbos 😉
For some people 🙄 that's all they want is a single cab. Had 2 uncles and that's all they ever drove. 😊
I have a question if you have a trans Fuller plug installed in your Allison will that affect anything if this part is added or does that need to be removed and go back to the stock pressure plug in the transmission question more
The TCM does not adjust pressure. So you can run the fooler or hydraulic mods with no negative effects.
@@dansdieselp thank you for the quick reply. I'm getting ready to do a hi o bundle , lift pump, exhaust and so on to my 2016 LML duramax Silverado. I may be looking into your 67mm Drop in turbo. I saw a video of it on a white truck and it so ds so good. Will that be a good choice for a dailey driver truc
@@seanfaulk2405 turbo upgrade should match you injector size and power intent. The 68mm is for play and competition. It should be paired with a minimum of 60% over injectors. For a stock injector truck our 64mm is a great choice.
@@dansdieselp awesome. Tha is for letting me know. I will be looking at your site to get this soon for my Silverado 2500HD duramax
Just ordered mine yesterday truck has been giving codes on my TCM going on and off some days it works some days it doesn’t will see how it goes.
I am having a hard time finding his website .. my truck just hit that TCM module trouble code on my truck 30 mins ago. Could someone help me find his website so I can think about ordering.. and how much
Looks like the server is down for maintenance. Should be back up soon. Alternatively you can call us in the morning to place your order. 815-977-5865
Just ordered one Saturday for my 2012 Chevy 2500hd Duramax . It got here today (Texas)and I installed it in 5min. I'm up and running smooth AF!!! Thanks Dan!!
Ordered a tcm had it next day. Truck is like a new one. Fast response great service. Definitely recommend dan's deiesl performance.
My 2012 Duramax threw the dreaded U0101 code and showing all the associated problems with a bad TCM. Ordered the enhanced version TCM. What a huge difference! Can't remember my truck ever shifting as nicely as it does now. They know their stuff. Thanks!
Hey Dan I'm not sure I'm in this TCM boat...yet...maybe....I need to do some more investigation but Sunday I received a P0700, P0962, and P2669 codes after a no haul - normal drive. Trucks a 2014 Silverado 2500HD 6.6 with the Allison 6 speed T14 TCM. Everything is stock right now...though I like the sounds of y'alls enhanced tuned TCMs. My main question is regarding the warranty. Y'alls website says the TCMs have a "Lifetime Warranty" but in this video you mention just a 2 year warranty. I'm trying to find out which is accurate because I'm considering just buying the TCM to keep on hand in the event that I ever need it (if I'm not at that point yet) cuz I'm not a fan of being stuck on the shoulder. I don't wanna buy one now and end up wasting warranty time on a 2 yr if I end up not needing it till down the road. If you can shoot me a reply letting me know that would help my purchase decision!!
What gear does torque converter lock up with the custom tuned tcm?
Does it matter if it is a dually?
It fits any 2006-2015 GM 2500 and 3500 truck.
Are these for the 6 or 5 speed transmissions?
The A40 is for 2006-2008 trucks. The A50 is for 2009-2015. We have both in stock.
What about the 2005
I’m so glad I found Dan’s diesel performance. What a surprise starting my truck after 9 years of trouble free driving and discovering the TCM had gone out. Luckily I was only a few miles from home. Ordered from Dan and in a few days I was up and running again. This was such and easy install and so much better than going to the dealer. Thanks to Dan for posting this video!
Just purchased a TCM from you guys after mine got fried after installing Ppei trans tunes. Truck went from running and driving to a brick in my front yard. I opted for the priority shipping hoping to get it by Saturday.
Any for Kenworth truck
Not at this time. Just GM pickups right now.
Don’t see where I can order the TCM on you link .
