Functions Discrete Math Version
Definitions and examples of functions intended for a discrete math class. Definitions of domain, codomain, and range.
Proofs of Existence
Examples of proofs of existence, including a constructive proof that finds a particular number that works, and an non-constructive proof that shows that a number must exist without actually finding it.
Injective, Surjective, and Bijective Functions
Definitions and examples of functions that are injective (one-to-one), surjective (onto) and bijective (both). Intended for discrete math students.
Set Operations
Definitions and examples of set unions, intersections, differences, and complements.
Introduction to Sets
This video explains some basic notions of set theory, including subsets, cardinality, and the power set.
Proof by Contradiction
A proof by contradiction assumes the opposite of what we want to prove and arrives at a contradiction. This video gives some examples.
Direct Proofs And Proofs By Contrapositive
A direct proof assumes the premise and goes step by step towards the conclusion. A proof bay contrapositive assumes that the conclusion is not true and proves that the premise is not true. This video gives two examples of each kind of proof.
Valid Arguments
How can we tell if an argument is valid? This video ties the notion of a valid argument to the idea of a tautology and gives an example to show that a valid argument form can still have yield a false conclusion!
Nested Quantifiers
To translate complicated sentences or mathematical ideas to logical symbols, we often need multiple quantifiers.
Predicates and Quantifiers
An introducdtion to universal and existential quantifiers.
Propositional Equivalences
Definitions and examples of tautologies, contradictions, contingencies, and logical equivalence.
Taylor Series and Euler’s Formula
Taylor series can be used to prove Euler’s formula e^(ix) =cos(x) i sin(x) which can then be used to uncover other amazing relationships. Calculus 2.

Thank you so much for this. I learned so much math thanks to you
I'm terrible at this😢
I love you 🎉🎉
I am sick for discrete math 😢
😮😮😮😮
Linda Green has proven the existence of excellent math teachers ❤🎉😊
Thank you for uploading these videos. I would love to see a whole series with you starting the basics of math.
WAITING FOR NEXT PART

I shall indeed go forth and factor! And thanks to you!
I learned to rationalize by conjugate expression and was able to solve it! Thank you so much!
I am no longer scared of radicals anymore! Thanks Linda <3
We just talking about this today and I am sooo confusing 😢
Tears of happiness! No one ever explained me why anything raised to 0 = 1🥺 Thankyou Linda! You are my superstar ❤️
Watching this from India @1am midnight 😂 Thank you so much for these amazing content! Starting with your Algebra course as a refresher for more advanced maths! And I am loving your teaching style ❤ only wish we had teachers like you here 🫶🏽
I😢😢😢 need help for recursion, sequence 😢😢
Finally someone talking about discrete math -- one kf my biggest nightmare
😮😮
I need this video 😢
First 🎉🎉🎉
I need this video 🔥
Thank you for the videos. I am making good use of them. I found a mistake in this one. At 9:41, -1/32 does not satisfy the equation.
Doubt..... Namaste ma'am Doubt 1 :Mam for long time i am wondering that between (4i) and (5i) which imaginary number is larger. what you think which one is larger ? and why?? Doubt 2 :Mam on an argand plane when we represent a complex number let take an example, We have (3+5i) to represent it on an Argand plane we simply mark (3,5) point and join a Ray from the origin to point (3,5) similarly like vector but mam here if we notice (i) is not represented i mean to say that where is (i=√-1) is in this graphical representation. Doubt 3...Mam for some time I am thinking that Argand plne is perpendicular to Cartesian plane. Is my thinking is right??? Thank you so much Ma'am for helping me in Calculus. And a Love of Magnitude 1/0 from the country of Ramanujan. And Mam one more Last thing What should I do to become Like You in Mathematics?
So happy to see a logic series :)
The best!!
One of my favorite topics on logics and discrete math, I wish you a happy new year
Your college algebra and linear algebra videos are more helpful.. And now Discrete math... Thank you mam..
Never has anyone made math seem so easy like you’ve did, thanks to your videos 4 years ago I was able to learn calculus that had always fascinated me at 15 after countless hours spent on overcomplicated uni books and forums
Thank Youuuu!!!!! I can't thank you enough
Linda Green is the subject and "is a great math teacher" is the predicate. ❤🎉😊
Thanks ❤
Hello Dr. Green! Thanks for making quality tutorials. While it may be irrelevant, I wish you would also cover Abstract Algebra and Real Analysis in the future.

You don't know how much have you helped me in understanding mathematics again from scratch .I have been writing emails to you thanking you thank you so much
Thank you so much.
thanks a lot ma'am. I completely understood the topic
Subbed, bookmarked, thank you!

hey watched you calculus course on freecodecamp it was awesome <3
Hi, Mrs Green I genuenly wanna donate to you I loved your calculus 8 hours course and I think that you're the best math teacher
You are awesome at teaching, I am going to do every single one of your courses. Thank you for all that you are doing,.
Very clear and easy to follow. Thanks.
Hello , dear Mrs Green I have watched your courses precalalculs and calculus . I learn a lot and I just want to say thank you
Loved it ! That helped a lot
